Wow!! Thanks for your response. I'm so glad to hear this.

Can you please brief me what should be included in the SOP? Thanks very much.
buckyfof:

Yes there are couple of people that have gotten approval with mpower loan. It is a recognized proof of fund.
Just make sure you are detailed in your sop about it.

Hello Gurus.

Please, has anyone experienced any delay in Upfront Updating in IRCC website?

My application is over 2 weeks now and my upfront medical has not been updated.

Do you suggest i request for a GCMS note now?

If you are self-sponsor, then you must show funds that will cover the 2 years of study, including living expenses.

But if someone is sponsoring you, according to IRCC, they must show that funds are available for your first year of study and be able to show that you will have an equivalent amount for the subsequent year(s); either through their business, payslip, fixed-income, or other acceptable means.

I have a pdf information on study permits' instruction designed by IRCC Dakar office. All these information are inside. You can reach out to me through mail, I'll forward it to you if you need it.

You have greater chances of a response when you send to a many as possible..

Some MPs are actually nice and some are not nice at all..

If you lucky enough to send to a nice Mp, then there is no point sending to the other ones that are not nice..

Thanks a lot for the feedback.

Family photos? I think the last family photo we’ve had was in 2008, (I can get those). Plus most of my siblings don’t even have international passports. What would you suggest?

Yes, old family photos are fine and you can use their birth certificates instead

You should consult a lawyer to prepare one for you. A gift deed also has to be notarized.

You're not new in travel section but you're new here, so you should be the one to calm down. If you're not new here, you'd have known there's no whatsapp group just as he said.

Please for medical update to pass
Will a message be sent to via email or the application will just update

You won't get an email notification, you'll only see that your medical has been updated to pass if you login. Simply put, you only get email notifications when an action is required from you or when a letter is involved. My response is for the new IRCC portal, I guess the GCKey also works the same way.

Hi Opezi i just got an admission into Memorial University in Canada as well, can you please check your mail

opezi:
Good day everyone

My sister applied for a student visa in may 2021 as a high school student but she lost the admission because the visa was not granted by the schools resumption time so we all didnt stress over the application but kept checking for any updates since she was already in ss3 and doing her waec. After waec results were released in December we immediately applied into memorial university in Canada which she has gotten an admission into now but because she already had a previous visa application in progress we wanted to confirm the status of that application so that we'll know if we are to send an updated letter of acceptance or withdraw the old application and restart a new one as it has been almost a year with no response.

So we request for a GCMS note which was received today just for it to show that she has been granted visa since October first 2021 with no mail received. We are confused on the next step to take now. All advice given will be appreciated.

NB: No agent was used throughout this application process... it was all done ourselves.

Hello guys, hope we are all fine.

I'd like to know if there's anybody that has tried using the MPower financing loan for funding and got visa approval.

Thank you all.

I await your response.

I've seen about 3 people on this thread that used it and got approved. But I noticed they also added their personal account with some reasonable amount in it.

For cheap flight, use flight scanner, YVR(Vancouver Intl Airport) that is what you are to choose as your final destination either your transiting through another airport.

For the Airbnb, Once you see an apartment you like message your host and ask him/her the walking distance from the apartment to UCW.

You can pay for extra baggage if it worth it, I pay for extra baggage for my foodstuffs and I don’t regret it.

I am here once again sir.
Do you know the kind of application a dependent child of about 4 years old will apply for? I submitted the questionnaire right now and I got study permit for my son.

I hope this is right sir.
Lekiboboe:

Hi Chief,

I have no much idea on that, but I guess that's SOWP, e.g Wife Goes to Canada to study, Husband joins her after a period of time via SOWP (Spousal Open Work Permit) to work.

You can learn one or two things about SOWP from the contents in the links below

There are members on this platform who did SOWP, await responses from them and the gurus aswell, they will be able to tell you based on their experience which you should write (LOE/SOP)

Good luck!!!
