When I look back at my friend's marriages and about 60% of them are divorced......... When we chat, they always tell me my marriage was the least expected to stand, considering all the circumstances involved.......

Marriage is indeed a mixture of luck & gamble........ cheesy

I think you have a point there especially marriage these days, human beings are unpredictable, a woman/man that will leave you will do so no matter how good of husband/wife you are.

So if luck is on your side you meet someone who is ready to tolerate your nonsense and vice versa then the joyride will last longer

Not completely true...

Both husband and wife decide to make marriage work deliberately....
exactly..... talking from over 13 years experience. You make your marriage work. No partner is perfect

It used to last very long before religion and social media get involved in marriage.

@omobaba, thank you for stating it as it is. She has admissions to UK and Canadian schools, so we plan to go with one with greater prospects.
@TheGuyFromHR, can you please share your view too, bro?

As others have mentioned, if I were seeking a course solely for career prospects alone, I wouldn't spend my money on an MSc in HR.
Obviously, like most of the current wave of students from Nigeria, the plan is emigration (and not strictly a career in HR, I assume), so all I can say is come in (you're already coming anyway), pray hard to whomever you believe in and try your luck.

While there may not be much prospects in those listed fields, anything can still happen.

I personally know someone who is a dependent of her husband on student visa that recently got sponsored as a Human Resources Officer, despite having few years experience no masters degree and professional certification in progress. She was able to secure the role with the company being that she was in the UK.
Apparently the company was short staffed in that department and I even tried to recommend a friend's wife to apply from Nigeria but she wasn't selected because she was not in the country (something that borders on not qualified/eligible for relocation expenses). Meanwhile someone else who just arrived on dependant visa of her husband was selected for that same role (that someone from Nigeria was denied of) and is in progress of the interviews.

All in all, prospects may be slim, hopefully the individuals can break barriers when they get selected for a role in their respective fields.

Boss I am not disputing your take like that o, just throwing a different view. I am still fasting lol.

You wants to eat there cake and have it.

The skilled work/HCW visa has two categories that aren't clearly stated on the guidance.

Defined visa
Sponsoring people in UK who wants to switch into SK/HCW

Undefined visa
For people without a current visa. Coming from the abroad.

Defined visa Organisations have allocations for this when they are trying to sponsor you they use part of the allocation to issue you COS.

Undefined Visa

Organisation aren't given allocation for this, they have to request for this from home office/UKVI for each individual applicant/application.

They have to request for cos from the home office for each individual application.

So tell me, if you are a company with sponsorship license, would you go for defined or undefined?

The home office policies are always give and take.

Do you want the bitter truth or sugar coated lies. It doesn’t have prospect in the uk especially for someone that needs sponsorship, on the other hand, no knowledge is waste and they might be lucky
Thank you for the valuable insights shared on this platform. Please, what advice do you have for someone like me who is already in the process of coming to study MSc in International Business with Data Analytics? I have 7 years of work experience in HR in Nigeria prior to now. I am also working on horning my data analytics skills through self-study. Are there any prospects? or things I can do to boost my chances?

There are two different people identified in the write up. Both are dependants on a student visa.
The first lady has now been sponsored.
Her friend who just arrived the UK less than 2 months ago is still being interviewed.
