Tom1960:You're lying , the reason some tribes are still scared of coming to Igbo land is because they thought igbos will want to revenge what some people did to igbos during Nigeria civil war . Those campaigning against Igbo man being the president of Nigeria is still the same sentiment. So how is that Igbo man's fault that their past is haunting them . Some people still say it here that they're are waiting for when the igbo man will be chased out of their land so that they can inherit igbo mans house and business in the west . So tell how will some body with that mentality want to invest in Igbo land? |

Baawahala:something is definitely wrong if you're proud of saying this. 40 million naira will get you a land in lekki , buy you a house in GRA in Surulere. Buy you hectares of land in Lagos -Ibadan , Lagos-Abeokuta express road . |

For the first time I agree with the Oluwo even though I don't like him. Ibo have to accommodate other tribes on their soil just the same way they are been accommodating them on other tribes land across Nigeria .As non Ibo its a difficult task to buy a land or set up a shop on any of Ibo Land and that is a shame |

Osariemen12:God bless you. At least in Benin, Hausa ppl in Aduwawa axis can be seen with their investments. Go to new Benin market, igbos are there, go to Igun, Ewaleke, igbo spare parts dealers are there and they own properties. One of the big supermarket in Benin called Anambra supermarket is owned by Igbo man. Nothing can be heard about yolobas who are even closer to Edo by virtue od of geographical location and ancestry. This shows their tribalcentric nature, not free like other tribes. They hardly travel out of their enclave to live in other places except Lagos. Yet they want to tell you what happens in other regions. |

Ayomi90:That is it. Instead of presenting superior points, you've resulted to insult. Let it sink to your memory that not everyone takes in every trash spilled by your tribesmen as truth. This is just one of such statements that shouldn't come from an acclaimed custodian of a people's culture. |

No tribe is perfect; there MUST be at least one iniquity that is ubiquitous in any tribe. But for what this Oba just said, they are untruths. Who is even taking this Oba serious? Serious Yorubas don't heed to his call. A divisive Oba. He hasn't succeeded in creating long lasting enemity amongst Yorubas. This one na iworiwo Oba. Oba of touts. Beer parlour Oba. Free newspaper readers Oba. Tufiakwa. oshozondii: |

KingsCity:But he said the truth that you aware of. You just don’t want to face reality. If it’s by democracy, which happens to be a game of numbers, SE cannot produce a president. May be after 5 decades, I cannot tell, but in next 5 decades, it’s impossible |

Baawahala:Shut up. What's the economic viability of SE to even think of selling a plot of land for 1m? 50m for a piece of land in a region where indigenes don't cherish staying? Una dey put too much importance in that region without sea. The king is saying the truth. Ibos are primitive people that asks for what they can't give. Every other zones welcome you to their lands while you do the contrary to them when them come to your region. No wonder your region keeps getting poorer in southern Nigeria. Only if you have few sensible ones among you will you realize that there's rapid growth where we have diversity. Keep being ibo by chasing away growth and development. Na you dey lose not us. |

E make sense to you? Next time you will think deeply before talking trash. |

Realist12:If I can't afford 50M,I can afford 5M and someone else can afford 500k, so why the bitterness?... The cost of a land should not affect any tribe unless they mostly poor, afraid of investment or being stupid, outrightly. |

olas24u:Stop directing me to random blog post i have first hand experience so I don't need some news from the nation's news blog about Igbo land. If you have money and want to buy land in the east come and buy. No body will even notice you're a Yoruba if you don't say . Contrary to what most of believe that your people are not in the east is a big lie . I have seen yoruba's who work , school and do business here . No body send where you're from here . But nothing is for free here just like it is in Lagos and Abuja. |

Arysexy:My friend said spare part market , how many Yorubas and Hausas owns shops over there? Funny! You obviously haven't been to Abeokuta or Ibadan. Ogun is definitely following the Lagos blueprint in terms of inviting Igbos and Hausas into not only their political decision making system but their traditional affairs as well. Oyo is also well known for its integration especially Ibadan, ever heard of the Balogun Ndigbo of Ibadanland? I can name over 5 large businesses owned by Igbos in Oyo and Ogun state, how many SE states can boast the same? Now ponder what I've written and drop your EGO, the truth shall set you free! |
