aribisala0:Indeed I agree that it is dangerous to see genuine inquiry as racist, save that this particular friend was my best friend for twenty years and I know him very well. He believes in superior master races and the like, believes in Caucasian superiority, believes also particularly that the ibo have no history of note. I thus knew all too well where his disputation regarding Olaudah's origins arose from. I find it strange that he remembers he is Eboe or Igbo but does not remember his own name or the name of any significant person from his family or clanIt could be as you say, it could also be that there are fragments in his mind which helped him identify his roots even if such identification was helped by later information acquired as he grew. Something which is nested within a human mind as young as his at the time it was said to have been uprooted is way too subjective an experience to be interrogated in certain ways. Nonetheless, so long as you are open minded on the subject, which I see you are, its no matter. |

Afonjakid:You mean leaving ocean to bury water cable beneath landlock South East? tribalism overruled. South south States could have been strong competitors but if truth must be said.they have no option than to run it through Lagos because the state has many economical advantage against other South south Ocean bordered states. |

This is a good but economically slaving development. One day, these foreigners landing cables at our coast will take their optical fibre to every home in our land. It will be ignorantly celebrated as an achievement of an administration but that is when we shall totally have been recaptured. This is all because we are glad to be governed by wicked people who are never leaders. |

This cable has no effect on last-mile Internet access. The price will remain the same and MTN data will keep evaporating at twice the speed of other providers. Ask the OGs about the effect of the MainOne cable which landed in 2010. This reminds me, when will the famed cable being laid by Glo land? Scammer Ijebu man |

Nigerialabalaba:Nice... Olaudah Equiano was a slave of the early 17th-18th century of Igbo origin during the reign of slave trade in west Africa. We went on to distinguish himself amongst other slaves to become influential. He was a playwright, right activist, educationist and one of the foremost black slave to get freedom and champion the freedom of other black slaves by fighting &speaking up for them. During his years, he authored many books on the ancient Igbo culture, tribal identity and ways of life, making sure the Igbo heritage of alot of slaves were never erased and still kept as far back as then. Finally, he inspired other slaves of other various African tribal to fight for freedom&ensure they retained their identities. His legend lives on. |
