Zarahmum:I am not an expert, neither am i in a position to advice you, But I will share my experience with you. I had a similar experience as you, the only difference is that in my own case, the only reason that was given is that my business was not found on the CAC website. In visit VISA applications most times, you don't have the right to appeal, the only option is to go for judicial review, which involves the court. But before then, you can write a preaction protocol letter to the home office. I wrote a pre-action protocol letter to the home office, narrating the decision and pointing out the error of the clearance officer with screenshot evidence that my business is active on CAC. By default, they will have to respond in 14 days. 13 days after i wrote, they responded and requested for another 14 days for a substantial response . The second 14 days came and they responded, stating that " The secretary of State has reviewed the decision and will now proceed to reconsider the decision based on the information i have provided. They said the believe the solution they have provided is good enough, but if i still want to proceed with judicial review, i am free to do so. They stated that i will be contacted within 3 months of receiving the letter, it is almost 2 months now and I am still waiting. So you might want to reapply and point all these out through a cover letter, provide more evidence of business transactions, audit, tax etc. Or you follow the preaction protocol method. Note: if your husband is funding the trip, he should state exactly how much he is making available, present his own bank statement, tax etc. |

Good day, guys. I don't know if this is the right platform for this question; I’d appreciate it if anyone could help. I'm currently in the UK and am planning to bring my parents over to the UK to attend my graduation ceremony, which will take place in July. Does anyone know about the process of getting a visit visa? |

Ashirioluwa:For study visa? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Ashirioluwa: 6:10pm On Apr 27, 2022 |
royalmu:Standard visitor’s visa processing time: Up to 12 weeks means your application will be treated within that timeframe. You might get it early if you are among the lucky ones. Some people get it within 4 weeks after biometrics while some are still waiting after 2 months |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Ashirioluwa: 6:13pm On Apr 27, 2022 |
sawdikk:No, standard visitor’s visa |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by royalmu: 6:21pm On Apr 27, 2022 |
Ashirioluwa:You sounded very certain here that's why I said what I said. It's good you have now made the proper assertion as everyone's case is different. Cheers mate. |

Got this email today after a week I did biometric. It clearly explain how long it take to make decisions. Arriving UKVI today and I will stay counting 15 working days from today since I’m not for super priority or Priority and they also state it might exceed 15 working days.

HRprof:I got the same email today too, exactly a week after biometrics in Abuja. Although TLS had one week ago sent a mail stating that my documents had been received by DMC and updated same on their website. Away from this:- I think TLS Abuja is overwhelmed. I spent nearly three hours for my biometric appointment last Wednesday. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by HRprof: 8:27pm On Apr 27, 2022 |
Africankel:I also did biometric in Abuja last week Thursday and I didn’t spend more than 1 hour there, I was even attended to before my appointment time. My appointment supposed to be by 9:30am but we were ask to come in with 8:30 people |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by nwaogukings03: 8:50pm On Apr 27, 2022 |
Please if one goes for self-upload service, what documents does he need to come with to the visa appointment center? Is it coloured photocopies of all the documents he uploaded? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by solid3(m): 10:07pm On Apr 27, 2022 |
nwaogukings03:GO with photocopies. If possible make all your documents A4 size as anyone you do not present in A4 size will be photocopied and you will pay N50 each for every of such. Also, they will likely reject documents in A2 size e.g architectural drawings document. Print your pictures in clear black and white as Abj tls photocopy is not so nice in photocopying pictures. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by leef2022: 10:19pm On Apr 27, 2022 |
nwaogukings03:Go with your passport, photocopy of your passport data page and tls appointment confirmation. You dont need any other baggage, but make sure you must have self uploaded all supporting documents. |
