I have not legalized anything. I'm waiting to hear from them so i won't spend money legalizing and in the end won't get admission. I applied since and they only acknowledged receipt of the application...

Thanks for everything you guys do here. I am currently in the US and I have a brother who wants to study Masters in Austria with a 3.3 CGPA and he's also 37. My questions are:
1. Do you think he would be able to get an admission with his age and CGPA....?
2. Any university recommendation?
3. Is there Spring admission? If yes, when does admission opens?

1. Yes. Even people with lower grades for admission. More so, Austria doesn’t consider age at all.

2. It depends on what (course) he wants and his pocket.

3. Even if there is Spring admission, he shouldn’t try it. It’s too close. He can try Summer but he has to be faster with kk his documentation processes so that he can be in Austria latest end of October. He needs a minimum of 4 months to process admission, legalization and visa. Minimum o. It can’t be earlier than that except he is lucky and everything ends within 3 months.

NPC aren't given "Birth certificate" for person above 18years, they're only issuing "Attestation letter of birth".
But the Embassy requested for someone that's born after December, 1992 to present his/her Birth certificate.
I was born after 1992, but a bit confused to submit Attestation to the embassy instead of the Birth certificate.
Would there be a problem if I submit the Attestation?

Let your family come and join you later. Your spouse would only need to pass German exam at A1 level.

I doubt if your family can go with you. Even financially, it could be too much ( apologies, I don’t know your pocket though).

After I mailed you, I mailed the Austria embassy just to confirm the information I got. There response is that my dependent (wife) can go with me.

I am only concerned now with how soon we can get a job in Austria considering language differences.

My brother, go first. Austrian embassy telling you you can go doesn’t mean they would grant the visa. I am sorry to be blunt. You may have the burden of proving the financials. Getting accommodation for two people alone is expensive. Here In obodo oyibo, they don’t charge rent the way we charge in Nigeria. If you are two in a room, you will pay for two people but not one monthly rent for two people to be sharing.
Please safe yourself the headache. Go and weather the storm, then bring your wife after some months. As of last week, you need to show at least €14500 in your bank account. If your wife’s own joins, you have to cough out at least €24k.

Don’t let Austria refuse your visa because of accommodation and proof of fund because when you get here, you would still need to show them the proof in your Austrian bank account.
