Thank you in advance

Good morning gurus in the house.

Pls i need a quick response.. which bank can i use to pay my application fee? You know they will be charging in $CAD...

Pls i need a guide on this ASAP.
Thanks in anticipation
You can use any bank as far as the account has a dollar card and is funded. If you do not, then flywire will give you an option to pay in Naira usually at black market or higher rate

The bolded is not 100% correct. I thought that way before 2018 and missed Mastercard scholarship. I have a friend that applied anyways. Funny enough, it was Mastercard that organize PR and work permit session for them towards the end of their program. The guy is a PR now. My advise, except it is IRCC scholarship that says so or you have another scholarship without that requirement, apply and wait till the end.

Hello Osemigho,

Been a while! I agree with you, but neither is Toceen2022 wrong. He said some. Some funding that is given to international students especially if it is a government sponsored like the Kingdom of Saudi, the Chinese Government, etc. COULD come with a clause to return to their country after study. In some situation, some international graduates whose funding have such condition have gotten PRs.

Almost recently, before the pandemic, international students that got funding from Global Affairs Canada were not eligible for the PGWP, with the clause now suspended after gradual ease. Maybe your friend was amongst the beneficiaries.

Respect bro!

Hello guys. This is for those that want to know if eligibility has started. This is the difference between two applications. In the first picture you can see the eligibility review information is quite different from the other.

Please gurus in the house I need your help !!!!!!!!!
I graduated with a 2.2 and I studied law. I applied to USASK but didn't get admitted.
I want to apply to a college but the issue I have is that the only courses related to law is human resources management and paralegal.
I want to know if it will be a problem when I want to apply for a visa in regards to why I want to study human resource management in Canada when it is plenty in Nigeria.
Secondly, can anyone recommend a college in ontario that their acceptance fee is not so high or suggest any other course I can do that is related to law. I have experience in corporate law.
Thank you.

@makano @lekiboboe @justmellow @ominni @frankrobon1 @scott99tish @Anon and other gurus. Please I need your sincere advice, I got a PhD admission at Dalhousie university and planning with my spouse and three kids. I am applying with a third party sponsor, my questions:
1. Is it adequate if my sponsor gift me around 12m which is enough to pay my first year tuition and our living expenses.
2. With adding my physical assets valuation document also count.
3. Can I ask my Dad to do deed of gifts to transfer some of his assets to me
4. Can also add my late mum gratuity papers worth 6m as POF.
5. With it be acceptable if I ask my employer (a Fed. College of Education) to provide a study leave for me to provide my home tie.
6. Can I also use my assets and deed of gifts to prove home tie.
7. Is it compulsory to pay tuition before application.
Thanks as I await from professional responses

Hello TonyDeAnalyst,

Despite receiving full funding to study for your Ph.D. program, put in a single application. After your first semester or 3 months later, you can apply for them to join you. For now, use your family as a tie.

It makes no sense that a third party will sponsor 2 adults and their 3 children. Paying the full tuition in the case that your program is not partially funded, may not be enough to convince the VO that you don't have an immigration intent. Your sponsor doesn't need to do a Financial Deed Gift rather the Letter of Sponsorship covers the earmarked sponsorship funds, the financial responsibility, and the sponsorship intentions.

Property gifts from parents, as well as financial inheritance, serve as good ties, including the study leave approval letter, assets, family, etc. Paying the tuition is not compulsory, but pay it if the money is available. The gratuity will help your financial demonstration if it is accessible to you.

Best of Luck.

Greetings to the Gurus, Please I like you to put my through on the student visa, I’m in my 400level but strike is not making things work out for me. What would you like me to do? Would you advise me to go for diploma or any other alternative Please let me know, help a sister
Will look forward to hearing from you. @makano @lekiboboe @justmellow @ominni @frankrobon1 @scott99tish @Anon

Hello Roffy3,

The strike action would have been a good opportunity to leverage in justifying your reason(s) for wanting to study in Canada if the class level was 100 or 200. It won't be reasonable that a final year student will restart at the Diploma study level given the time already spent. Though nothing is impossible. If you have sufficient funds for a Bachelor's and a resilient fighter, I will say good, go ahead. If not, be patient to complete your studies in your country.

If you consider applying without declaring the ongoing undergraduate program, ensure to fill the gaps with passed and active activities related to the proposed study.

Best of Luck

Sir. Frankrobbn, Justmellow and other big men in the house;

Can one get financial support"easily through scholarship and student loan;

and can one obtain parmanent resident after completion of Master degree program (2years) on scholarship....

Hello Derekxxy,

Studying in a postsecondary institution and program makes an international graduate eligible for a PGWP and thereafter a PR if the scholarship is issued by an academic institution, notable individual, private or corporate, or multinational. In SOME cases, scholarships sponsored by a partner country or a Government of a country MAY not be eligible to apply for a residency. It depends if the scholarship has this type of clause. In this case, it is the international student's responsibility to enquire from the issuing body about the rules and regulations that guide the scholarship program.

How easy in securing a scholarship depends on the level of knowledge work invested in the process. I will say painstakingly. For study loans, MPower Finance amongst others has made study loans very flexible if you can secure an admission to one of its partnered and/or recognized Universities. You can also get it from family, friends, religious bodies, etc.

Best of Luck

Permanent residency is obtainable after a master's program even with scholarship. But be aware that some scholarships come with conditions that applicants must return to their country of origin after study. If that is the condition, PR and PGWP can't be given.

Tank u bro, I have been tinking about the condition that will follow the scholarship

Goodday sir , please I have a question about medical.
I had medical appointment but on the process had to undergo sputum test that requires 8 weeks for the results to be out.My concern now is should I go ahead and submit my application since all document are ready. And as you know the statements of account , sponsor's letter of financial support , and other documents are all dated. This is supposed to be an upfront medical. Please what's the best way to go about it. Thanks

Dear Positiveme2020
Please go ahead and submit so the processing of your application can begin.

Med Request we have seen on the thread mostly happen after 2month- 3months after submission of application so doing an upfront has kind of saved you time.

Good day House, my sponsor (my dad) has an educational institution (school) with good inflow and outflow but the account is registered in the school name but he is the sole signatory. Can I use it as SOA or I have to use his own personal SOA(which has a lesser inflow of money).

I am targeting Jan 23 admission(NBCC). I was denied earlier then for lack of career path(went for post-secondary course which was a big mistae)

Please help?
