Do you know what they mean by; Green snake under the green grass? We call it sooro here. It's the fastest snake I ever seen and it's so dangerous and it doesn't even bite once. When you see green snake next time, please run as fast as you can. God bless you

There's a snake called green snake (two types: smooth and rough green snakes), and it is non venomous. However, it is important to note that not all green colored snakes are green snakes. Green mamba and boomslang are also green but they are venomous. So, please don't pick up a snake simply because it's green in color. The OP said it was a green mamba. If that's true, then it's an extremely dangerous snake.

I am a man that cannot kill a rat, let alone a chicken.

My wife [on her way to spread some clothes downstairs] saw this snake around 12:30pm yesterday and she started looking for a big stick to kill it.

I ran as fast as my legs could carry me but I still summoned the courage to be shouting instructions from afar.

In the end, my Odogwu wife killed it but a lucid research into the snake's buccal cavity revealed it's one of the deadliest snakes on earth, the green mamba

Guys, be careful o
Green snakes are harmless ,you are a coward. Snakes that don't have their fangs in front don't usually bite. This small snake you fret. .

picture one is a harmless smooth green snake you are talking about.
If you see picture 2 and 3, run for your life. Picture 3 (bloomslang) will make the victim bleed from all body openings. green mamba is not just a green snake, just like black mamba, they have a black mouth and could kill within minutes. What op killed was a green mamba. The mouth is black. I hope this save a life.
