diplomat058:Macaulay’s contribution to NCNC in its founding stage were all dwarfed by the contributions of Zik to the same party. There is a reason as to why in the annals of our history, when NCNC is mentioned Zik is remembered and it’s averagely taken as a Zik party and its followers called Zikites and not Macaulayers. Zik made NCNC what it truly was; a widespread nationalistic party for all Nigerians and the people of Southern Cameroons because NCNC was not winning elections outside Western Region in the the young days of Macaulay. NCNC success was due to the political sagacity, political prowess and acumen of Zik. That is why he takes all the glory including the NCNC rumblings with the colonial governments. This is a perfect reply to you and Osaze007, Pakute and other dullards! Rubbish that, and also attempt mocking yourself in demystifying Ekwueme who led the G34 that formed PDP in 1998. Get your facts right Tinubu will contest, and will lose, and absolutely nothing will happen. He is not greater than Abiola who was not allowed to rule Nigeria. Nigeria is bigger than Tinubu and y’all should accept that in peace or you’ll be forced to |

Heavensent01:Spilling your emotions like a ruptured crude oil pipeline didn't answer my questions: Pls where is Tinubu popular? Popular among who? If u say he is that popular, why can't he decamp & seek his ticket in another party? If u say "money is there", where did the money come from? If he spends the money and wins, how will he recoup? Is it from the national treasury the same way he is fleecing Lagos? |

Xscape1993:The fact is why is buhari also afraid of adopting indirect primaries and wants to short changed other candidates. He knows Tinubu will beat him to it reason why he's looking for every means to use consensus option. A whole president having machinery of govt afraid of Tinubu. Tinubu is not even saying you should support him but just provide a level playing ground for the primaries. Didn't buhari pass through the same indirect primaries in 2015 before he became the part flag bearer. I see buhari as an ingrate who forgot that without the support of some people, he wouldn't have become president today. |

Ebubu:Lol.. My guy don dey change mouth. Lying and boasting in lies comes so naturally to you until your flàtheads are flogged with facts. The only contribution of Azikiwe to the party was to convert the party into ibo dominated party and that's exactly the typical mentality of ibos. You want to always walk in and reap so easily where others had worked so hard to build. |

Pakute:Oga did NCNC rise to the pinnacle of its political power and spread under the leadership of Macaulay or Zik ? And moreover, it was not solely founded by Macaulay as Zik was there during its foundation and that was how he was able to become its pioneer Secretary. So stop making it sound as if Zik was not a co-founder of NCNC together with Herbert. |

Ebubu:You are not just ignorant but foolish as well. What's my business with Tinubu or whoever? Everything you wrote is only, as a matter if substance, damage control plied to cover up your exposed ignorance You even say they don't recognize Hebert Macaulay. Lol. I wonder what you smoked. The same Hebert Macaulay that is widely credited with party nationalism and facilitated the NCNC emerging victorious in the elections of 1923 and 1928 and 1933? A Yorùbá man labored and built a successful foundation, making history and you think you can just crawled out if nowhere to claim the glory for your kinsman? Something must be wrong with you tho If Hebert Macaulay did not build the NCNC into a successful political brand and helped Zik's career by appointing him as secretary, where would he have seen the structure to contest elections with AG in the Western Region? You even said APC is the first Yorùbá party. Hahaha. Was it Azikiwe that built then Action Group too? What about Awolowo's UPN that contested the 1979 and 1983 elections and was largely successful? Same NCNC that Macaulay suffered for it to be a nationalist party and Zik later turned it to be dominant only in the East? So much for the so called building You should know when to keep your mouth shut and learn when you don't have anything upstairs. |

Ebubu:You're obviously a kid and I'd advise you to have a grasp of whatever you might have to say on a public forum so as to not make a fool of yourself the next time. NCNC was founded in 1944, Macaulay died in 1946. The first election NCNC participated came in 1951, 5 years after the death of Macaulay. Do you expect Macaulay wake up and mobilize victory for his party from the grave?. It was therefore the responsibility of Zik being the President of the party to deliver. |

Pakute:The fact still remains that an Igbo man nurtured a dominant party in the first republic which won the highest number of seats in the country at then. So the claims of the original poster whom I quoted that Igbos are poor in politics, is demystified. |
