Cobra had low resistance to bacteria wilt. Don't think of yield but disease resistance. I'm seriously battling with bacterial wilt. platinum is a bit better than it

Firstly you’ll have to look at the water requirement of what you want to cultivate on the said land, the water retaining capacity of the soil as well but since it’s the forest that’s not a problem, how are you looking to channel the water?

I feel 5 - 6 should do each borehole serving 3 acres each for sufficiency but this is largely dependent on how quickly water is detected

For your water survey one person won’t be enough and two rods that’s a big red flag that one na scam, if you’re fortunate enough to get those Indians around they do a better job.

Personally from the cost implication to output ratio it’s really not worth it, best thing for a large open field cultivation is rainfall though prices of commodity may fall at this point but you’ll have the advantage of quantity.

@Farmerakinloye6: from my own little knowledge about the irrigation stuff, firstly i think it depends on the land you are using, if you check YouTube you will notice that some kenyas and Ghanians use borehole for irrigation, having 2 to 3 boreholes should serve you especially if the land is not far from water,my own well is just 30ft and is working fine.

Definitely not calcium nitrate issue. Someone had a similar issue in my area.
Why applying urea to a plant at flowering stage? Why do people apply urea to fruity veggies like tomatoes and pepper? I think Urea is best for stuffs like amaranths, jute leaves, ugu and the likes. Manure with other inorganics like pot nitrate, NPK and DAP should provide the needed nitrogen.

Fertilizer applied seems too close to the base of the stands and water supply might have been poor. These dehydrate and get the plant burnt.

Though it was not wise for them to apply urea at this stage of fruiting, urea will not burn tomatoes leaves like dat. I have witness a case like this were attazine was used instead of fungicide. The man lost his entire ugu farm. The similarities of leave burning pattern are the same

Death from urea will cause wilting and drying. What I am seeing is burned black leaves. If see has paraquator atrasine one of the is the culprit

Another thing is your tomato is getting to a stage where it will not has strength to resist disease, so continue to spray your fungicide and insecticide (evening) at least once in a week to maintain it, no how you will make profit! Check my channel by Sunday or next week Monday, I will talk about fungicide and insecticide that is working for me at the moment.

Thanks so much for your reply, it is true i staked very late this is my first ever tomato experience and i have been applying fungicide and insecticide on every monday evening but is there any chemical reaction when both fungicide and insecticide is mix together and sprayed?

As a first timer, you tried your farm look neat. No problem mixing fungicide and insecticide together, what Is the active ingredient of insecticide you use when your tomato is young? You plant early when whiteflies Are active, and I can see the handwriting on your plant. Folding of leaves is not big issue to me because I knew my own tomato plant leaf will fold when am about to start harvest. Work on your staking, fertilizer,manure quality and quantity in your next planting. Keep managing this one you will see your own.
