Little kid, does the revenues from the port goes to LASG?.. Prove your nonsensical assertion or GTFO!

You want to be mischievous or you are downright daft. The ports are federal but again i said people now moved to Lagos to be close to the ports so what is that if it is not growth spurred by the attempt at coming close to the port?

Haaaaa bros stop these lies. Lagos was not as prosperous as Badagry as a slave port. It was the Portuguese that made Lagos a trading port. Kano has a historic importance especially in the trans Sahara trade that cannot be compared to Lagos. Oga stop being mischievous and trying to deceive people in this forum. we know our history very well.
Ok so you are aware that Badagry was not part of Lagos sometime in history, then why say what you are saying?

Calabar was the 1st capital of Nigeria & had the main port @ the bight of biafra used mainly for the shipment of igbo slaves from the hinterland areas, so why isn’t Cross River extremely prosperous today?

The people of an area make up the prosperity of the area, United States is a great Nation today, because it was built on immigration like Lagos State.

Most residents of Lagos State from time immemorial have given their best to Lagos State to the detriment of were they might have migrated from, because of its accommodating nature.

Go to Ladipo spare part market or computer village you will understand when you encounter the igbo community.

What's wrong with the constitution?

Look around you and see for yourself. In case you're still sleeping, wake up and smell the coffee. You're in a country where state governors are called the Chief Security Officers of their state but have no say on security infrastructure and personnels operating in their respective states.

It's only in Nigeria and perhaps other African countries that you see their president being flown abroad for medical checkup/treatment with tax payers money while the presidential Villa hospital remains heavily budgeted for. Share a link of any news from the poorest European or South American countries where their head of state frequents a foreign country for health reasons.

Nigeria as it is is being run on borrowed funds. Borrowing would not have been an issue if it's been used to create or build money generating corporations but that's not the case in Nigeria. You borrow to pay bogus salaries to legislators (one of the highest paid globally), yet the law makers of the countries we're borrowing from earn less than those charlatans in our national assembly. No provision in the constitution place a cap on their salary.

People embezzled billions and get 3 to 5 years jail term or asked to pay bail of some hundreds of thousands. Worst is that those who choose to serve jail term do so knowing that the power that be will grant them pardon.

In Nigeria, how many local government chairman live and stays in their local government area?

Senators and house of representatives live and stays in Abuja and claim they know the plights of their constituents. How?

A constitution that have backdoor/loose end for every laws you can think of, is that one a constitution?

Just recently, they said Jonathan is ineligible to be sworn in as president with constitutional citations backing it up....only for another group to come up with another sections of the same constitution to counter the earlier claims against GEJ eligibility.

Use your tongue to count your teeth. Ask yourself this simple question. Before 1999 general election, when Abulsalam Abubakar was the military head of state, when did Nigeria as a country sat down to agree on the current constitution we use today?

Nothing wrong with the Constitution 1999 as Amended, you uncivilized people are the problem, because you copied & pasted a set of laws, doesn’t mean you understand what you are practicing

Give the United States Constitution to you Nigerians, we will be worse off, & it is people like you that will be cursing those that jettisoned the Constitution 1999 as Amended that you are purporting to complain about today.

I mentioned the loans to pay salaries because that was what PDP borrowed to do. Even Okonjo Iweala raised an alarm about that.

Buhari borrows for infrastructure and not for frivolous things such as what PDP did.

Imagine the biggest economy in Africa with no airline of our own and no railways of our own

PDP in the name of privatization killed the Nigerian railways and also killed Nigerian airways.

Buhari is bringing all of that back and you are still complaining about his very visible infrastructural drives.

Shouldn't you rather be cursing those who had the means in their 16yrs but NEVER did anything except destroy the little we had thus setting us back by several years?
you already have eight years which is half of what PDP had. Also oil is selling higher than it sold for most part of PDP years. So yes, keep blaming PDP.

Keep believing your own lies, When did the oil index sell higher than it sold for most part of PDP years?

Prices continued to rise on Wednesday reaching levels not seen for nearly a decade. U.S. WTI rose to as high as $111.50, the highest since 2013, while North Sea Brent crude hit $113.02, the highest since 2014. Both fell back a little during the session but prices were still up some 5%. 2 Mar 2022.

For once you guys should stop being mischievous and speak truth even you knows that his achievements have been displayed over the internet you even know the truth about the reality of Lagos and the stranglehold Tinubu has on the state and how quickly the state can achieve it's full potential once free from Tinubu's grip.

What Nigeria needs is a seasoned technocrat cum politician with a history of prudent management and spurring Economic growth and of all the aspirants it is only Peter Obi that ticks the boxes in this regard.
Make no mistake the era of sharing oil proceeds monthly is disappearing Governments need to look inward to grow their economy and it is not just taxation only that is one mistake Lagos is making. Over taxing an impoverished economy is a shortcut to revolutions, chaos and anarchy. The government first needs to transform the economy from consumption to producing. Which of the aspirants judging from their antecedents has done this before. Everyone knows Peter Obi harnessed it for Anambra especially in the area of indigenous production. He boosted Innoson by placing large orders of his products the first governor to do so. Under his reign many igbos relocated their Businesses back to Onitsha and Nnewi. These are the things we need for Nigeria to transform it is not about spraying money or people coming to bourdilon to beg for their patrimony from the man who has stolen it.

I don't even know where to start with you without making this an epistle. Best is to keep it as succinct as possible.

Let's go back the memory lane. Please comb the internet and point me to data that supports your claim that during Peter Obi's tenure, local production of the state rose so high and maybe surpassed Ogun state, not to mention Lagos where you detests so much.

How many industries sprung up during his tenure and how many of them are still functioning today? Any Tom, Dick and Harry can start something if there's no framework for long-term sustainable development you'll be back to zero in no time.

Again, back to the Lagos you hate so much, beginning from Lateef Jakande to the drug baron from iragbiji (as you'd call him), see how development and growth has been sustained through successive government, up till Fashola that came and rejig the whole long-term framework of Lagos state.

As good as Peter Obi seems, the present governor of Anambra state (same place where Peter Obi hales from) didn't turn to him for coaching on good governance, rather, he called Fashola for that role. Maybe that should settle the scores.

- new classrooms were built in all the 177 communities of the State.
-bough 500 new vehicles nd 700 buses for schools which led to his impeachment as d money was meant for government House renovation.
His match is yet to come both present and past Governors. Both In political and educational nd business achievements. Its intimidating with his gentleman look. The government are the mostly the reflection of her citizens, you are not being governed by aliens, but fellow citizen like you.
Why call people who are supposed to serve you in administrative capacities leaders, leading what exactly ? the Afro mind first needs recolonizing to understand the value of democracy.

Nigeria is a country blessed with so much human and natural resources, strategically populated and position for greatness but yet unlucky with bad leadership over time.

Ordinarily Nigeria should be cashing out from this window but bad leadership won't make us gain from it.

The way you guys argue shows how poor the education system is in Nigeria. Arguement is all about common sense logic and not just pulling up written things online which doesnt collerate logically.
How dare you compare America kind of debt to Nigeria, how? The US dont go ask you for money, they borrow through issuing of bonds which other country buy, they dont run out of cash like Nigeria and begin carry plate run go China or EU to beg like Nigeria does. Besides, Nigeria beg for money, then whe given, they steal it and dont up the infrastructure.
If you dont know, the person that earns the least in America earns more than, a medical doctor, a bank manager in Nigeria.
Nigeria has zero roads, zero electricity, zero health, school, zero infrastructure, zero manufacturing sector. So where does all the borrowing go?
Lagos state and any other state in nigeria, even the entire country is poo when compared to America.

Most of you kids that say this kind of poo will one day leave the country and understand how terrible nigeria is.

Common sense dictate you read before getting emotional with your response

I compared Lagos debt profile to that of US and not America and Nigeria

Really? Has Lagos "comfortably" paid up it's "little loans" used to build critical infrastructure like rail, and metro system? If it's IGR was so great, what was the need for the loan?

IGR don't come in bulk like loan, so you borrow and offsett it with IGR later

Oga you think you are wise. Lagos was never as prosperous like Kano. It took a German researcher Heinrich Bach to discover Kano for the Europeans before the british came in. The Portuguese even discovered and named this area Lagos they used it for their trade and also for gathering slaves. You are very daft ooo
Who asked you to compare Lagos with Kano?. You brought your ibotic hatred on this thread to disparage Lagos and when your flatt head is being flogged, you now twisting like a mad dog comparing Kano with Lagos. Do northerners ask you to help them compare Kano with any state?. Why can't you compare any of your red mud state ?
Europeans came to Africa and exploit wherever they landed. Who gives a fück who discovered what. I have had enough of your ibotic senselessness, you can't lick Kanu's urine and be normal.
Bye.
