Philosopher1979: I have been following this from day one of it. I think if you find the start in the U15 thread, I commented on it. We are still a long way to go but it is a good step. But the point remains that we are far behind and we have not even scratched the surface. Excerpt: For example, Real Madrid has a youth system consisting of 13 levels to reach the senior side. And the beauty is that all these youth teams function in the same way as the senior club side. The point still remains that we are far behind but it does not mean that we are not making steps. However, the gulf in class is much. |

do4luv14: Cut your coat is irrelevant to the debate. The gulf in class of Grassroot development is the reason why Tammy has a large fraction of goals more than Osimhen. Where coat and cutting came in is baffling. |

Odunayaw: So how does this relate to the point? They have opportunities for vast players. Even third-tier league teams have high-grade academy facilities and coaching. So it is tougher for players here. That is the point. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 5:02pm On May 04, 2022 |
Odunayaw: The point is the opportunity for the best players to make it there. Those positions are for the best. However, our players here have limited opportunities no matter how good they are. Keep in mind, that even National league football will do a lot for many struggling players here. That is still limited. Tammy Abraham has scored so much goals because of the opportunity that came with the background. That is the point. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: why will it not baffled you, is Nigeria Spain, even before they got to where they are, don't they started small, did you see them saying Germany is this, or had that for their players why can't you remove your eyes from those Europeans, and look how you can help to start small, after all, it's still that small drops of water that makes an Ocean |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 5:06pm On May 04, 2022 |
do4luv14: It is baffling because the statement is totally unrelated to the discussion. Tammy Abraham has scored more goals than Osimhen professionally because of the Opportunities that came with him being born in England. Your reply: Cut your coat according to yoru side. |
