This response seems more like something from a textbook, why did you actually choose that course and what role would it play in your career path? Let it speak to current issues in the country, I really don't think we have intersections between immigration and criminal justice in Nigeria, but I might be wrong.

I don't know if you can eradicate and eliminate some of the issues mentioned, but you can definitely work with non-profits that are in that space to bring about some change, and maybe before you go for your interview do a little more research as to which NGOs work in that space in Nigeria at the moment, to help better define your response.

I don't know if this helped much but we can talk better if you require more support.

Gid29:

Okay Thanks
Can you please help me take a look at this
*Question: How will the course be able to help you?
Ans: With this degree I will be able to eradicate the criminalization of sex, gender & sexuality. Eliminate the criminalization of public health issues and also promote fairness at the intersection of immigration & criminal justice, Encourage equitable sentencing and also foster an environment for respecting children’s rights.

Hello house, for a husband and wife with a single child, both looking to travel to the US for schooling, is it advised they apply as a family or separately with the patner and child listed as dependents?
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Theflint1(m): 7:20pm On May 04, 2022
Hello house, please help vett this proposed interview transcript.

VO: Why are going to the USA?
ME: I’m going to USA for my bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science at Bleep University.

VO: Why did you chose this course?
ME: I chose this course because it is in line with what I did in my national diploma and I enjoyed my time working in a laboratory during my industrial training. Also, a job as a clinical laboratory scientist is rewarding financially and I think that should be a major factor in the choice of any career.

VO: How many schools did you apply to?
ME: I applied to 5 schools – XXXX University, YYY University, ZZZ University, TTT University and PPP University and I got four admits.

VO: Why did you choose this school?
ME: Bleep had the course I was most interested in and they seemed like the most eager to have me, taking out time to call and email themselves randomly and whenever I had any concerns. Also, they offered me a tuition scholarship for my third and fourth year.

VO: What scholarship is that?
ME: The VVV Scholarship. I pay for my tuition for the first two years and Bleep University covers the next two years.

VO: How did you hear about this school?
ME: I searched online from US News, Nairaland and other websites that came up on Google. I focused on getting a cheap school that provided a good education and Eastern Michigan University seemed like the best choice.

VO: When did you finish your high school and what have you been up to?
ME: I finished my high school in 2014, tried to get admission to a university for the first two years after and when it wasn’t working I went to get my OND at Auchi Polytechnic. After my OND in 2018, I started a year-long internship at a bottled water company as a quality control officer and got the option of continuing as permanent staff. I took a break July of 2021 to prepare for my SATs and college applications.

VO: What will this course do for you?
ME: The clinical laboratory science major at Bleep University will equip me with the skills required for function as a laboratory scientist in the medical sciences. Also, the course is taught in an interdisciplinary manner which means I could also pursue a career in industry, academics or forensic science.

VO: What will you do when you return from the US/what are your plans when you’re done with this course?
ME: I’ve always wanted to run my own business so my plan is to get the highest paying job available to me after my degree and in five to 7 years, should have saved up enough to start my own business.

VO: Who is your sponsor and what does he do?
ME: My elder will be paying for the first two years and Bleep University will cover the tuition for the following two years. My brother works as an investing partner and chief procurement officer at VVV Coy. He supplies laptops, desktops and IT gadgets to several companies in the country.

VO: How much does your brother make?
ME: About $60,000 annually

VO: Why is your brother spending so much on your education?
ME: My brother has been responsible for my educational pursuits for the last four years and has been financially responsible for my application to schools in the United States. Also, he believes in my abilities as an individual and sees paying for an education in the US as an opportunity for me to make the most of my abilities.

VO: When did your brother start his business?
ME: He has been running his business for the past 5 years.

VO: Did you take any standardized tests?
ME: Yes, I took the SATs with a score of 1200

VO: Did you take any English proficiency exam?
ME: No, I did not. My school waived the IELTS.

VO: Okay. Have you made any specific arrangements towards your trip?
ME: None for now, but would do so as soon as I have my VISA approved.

VO: Do you have any contact in the US?
ME: No, but I’m in contact with Jerimiah Muric, the international enrollment specialist at Bleep University.

VO: Do you have any family members in the US?
ME: None

VO: Okay. ***Brings out white paper*** I will be approving your visa.
ME: ***All smiles*** Thank you very much Ma/Sir.

Your question isn't quite clear; will you both be studying full-time? If yes, then you both need to apply for separate F-1 visas, however if it's just one person studying, then you can add the other spouse and child as dependents on your I-20.

Yes, we both will be studying full-time. When applying for the separate F1 VISAs, do we list each other as dependents?

You will list each other on your various DS-160, however, you will have to decide which of you will add your child as a dependent on your I-20. My understanding is that dependents for the purpose of this process are those who will be applying for the F-2 visa, but I'm not entirely sure I'm correct, maybe someone else might have a different opinion.

Greatuniben am surprised with ur experienced as often you're a moniker I have been following lately. However I'll advise u not to be in a rush when it comes to travelling out. However may I remind you that "TRUTH" is the only and most reliable way of scaling through VO's during visa interviews. I urge u not to go ahead with what you plan for with the selection.
To me I will say: kindly give urself time by clearing ur head n bouncing back with the application. All the best

@Venekconsultt, Thank you

Apply for F1 separately. One of you should add your child as dependent f2. You will be askedfor your spouse info on ds 160 . Also do you both have funding? The mother is always the best option when adding children as dependent.
