Please, what does COA mean?

@Fairheart

Please, how can I reach you one on one Sir?
PecAbby:

Hello Fairheart

Thank you for all you do in this forum.

Please I need your advice.
I'm in a dilemma.

So my husband and I booked US Visa appointments.
Note: My husband is F1 with 3 dependents (me and our two kids).
We have full funding.

However we made a mistake of applying for emergency visa outside of our '60days to start date' window and we were denied.
We took this decision because a friend of ours did same and he was approved.

Now our regular appointment is for Feb. 2023.
And the emergency appointment option is no longer displaying in our dashboard.
What should we do ...

Can we cancel the appointment and pay a fresh visa fee...will it guarantee that the emergency window will come back?

Or any other solution we can choose.

Thank you in advance for your kind response

$94K is a lottt of money to spend on a MSc. Are you sure you couldn't find cheaper schools to apply to?

I just think getting a cheaper school will benefit you in the long run and give you a better chance with the VO. There are even schools that your personal savings + family savings will cover easily without having to apply for an MPower loan.

Hey Everyone,

I need your expert opinion if you could take a moment to read.

I would love if you could look at the below and let me know if there’s anything I should look at for that could affect my interview.

Family sponsor (dad) $36k (on my I-20)
Mpower loan $25k (not on I-20)
Total $94k

Situation

Travel history

Don’t try it. To anyone reading this please do your WES and get beyond these things. Please do WES many of these schools don’t accept international transcripts without WES irrespective of what your degree says

Good day, Am at a cross road at the moment, I graduated from one of the Benin Republic (Cotonu) University 8 years ago. I decided to pursue my masters now that have sponsorship but WES is not evaluating my school. I don't know what best to do, my sister suggested undergraduate school but what are my chances at 32 and with over 17years SSCE result. Please kindly advice.

Please how do I go about partaking in the mock interview. My visa interview date is in 2 weeks. Please

Not all schools ask for evaluation. Some universities have their internal evaluation unit. Better still , you can use other evaluation companies in the US aside from WES but ensure you check with the university first.

You have 3 option to schedule
1st schedule and 2 reschedule

But you can still chill, closer dates will soon come

Good evening
Please checking for close dates and rescheduling...are they the same thing.
I've been rescheduling and I have one last chance

Also pleas add me to the AbujaWhatsApp group 07064944143

No, they are different. At this point, you can only reschedule one last time. Once you login and the dates you see are not what you want, click on logout. You can try at 3 different hours each day to avoid a freeze on your account for 72hours. Lastly, you really need to be patient because August is still 3months away.

Best of luck

You can try SPANTRAN, although WES is better

$84k is a lot of investment on a MSc degree. Not when some students have even presented full ride to study this same thing. Anyhow, apart from the huge COA, if your brother popped up during your visa application stage then the VO can ask you some questions since he also came in with F1 and he's now a PR that stayed back. As long as you are able to answer any questions properly, you should be fine.

Best of luck

Good morning everyone,

Please can I get compelling tips to the question "So what has changed?" in a F1 visa interview?

Only you yourself can answer this question. What changed in your application since the last time you applied? If you didn't go with funding at first, do you have one now? Did you aquire any skills or changed position at your work place since the last time you went for your first interview? Did you change schools?sponsors? Etc
So check what has changed and type it down.

Best of luck

Moshkom’s Friday Rant.

Dear Agents and Relative Abroad,

Thanks for the relatively and monetary help you’re trying to give some of ‘our’ applicants. But please, in all you do STOP telling or letting them know that applying for UNDERGRADUATE is the best bet in this USA path. Biko, it’s never the best, esp when the applicant is above 21years of age; and/or finished from high school more than 2yrs ago.

Aside the age factor, there are other factors on why undergraduate isn’t the best route; like the VO would have thoughts on why you don’t undergo your own undergraduate like ‘others’ did.

Now don’t get me wrong, applying for undergraduate is NOT a red flag, it’s NOT!! just make sure you do it well by applying to the RIGHT SCHOOLS that are NOT red flag and applying at the RIGHT AGE, these two factors are VERY VERY IMPORTANT.

Yeah, it’s easier for some agents to apply to COMMUNITY COLLEGE for applicants because the process is EASY and the possible agreement between you guys is “Number of Admissions” = Payment Agreement; or so, and as a ‘Desperate Novice’ you easily fall for it since you don’t know and you want to JUST get admission and ‘Japa’. Nothing concern agent after him don give you the admission wey you want / pay for oh. Lol

And also, ‘our relatives abroad’ that think to enter Yankee is just by “getting any admission to any school”, “just apply to this or that school, if you don get admission, you go enter Yankee” Lol. Na before oh, not now anymore. How you entered then is not ‘like’ the way anymore oh. Biko, know the new update about F1 process before giving advise to your folks.

Oh! Yeah, thoughts of:

“Sheyb e work for this and that”

“I don see person wey go with am”

“Everything na Grace”.

What work for ‘this’ easily might take your own ‘that’ 5 attempts. Why want to waste your funds, time and possible having ‘red profile’ on your USA application database (Ds160).
Why want to play with your own emotion of thinking you’re a ‘failure’? When denials comes in from your own fault.

- WHY APPLY FOR AN ASSOCIATE DEGREE when you can APPLY FOR A BACHELOR DEGREE??
- WHY APPLY TO/FOR A COMMUNITY COLLEGE when you can APPLY TO/FOR A UNIVERSITY.
- WHY WANT TO GO FOR UNDERGRADUATE AGAIN when you can easily finish your Undergraduate and apply for a MASTER or DOCTORATE DEGREE.
- WHY WANT TO LEAVE YOUR CURRENT UNDERGRADUATE TO APPLY FOR ANOTHER UNDERGRADUATE when you can and should easily finish and shoot for Msc or Phd. Which stands better chance.

Oh!

You’ve a low cgpa during our undergraduate, reason why another Bsc application? No na, you can easily do result evaluation and so to apply for Msc.

You’re desperate to Japa ? They would be there waiting for your 67,twos.

PS: There are more then 4,000 graduate institutions in The USA, so zero excuse to apply to a ‘wrong’ school.

Fun Fact: NO YOUNG AGE or OLD AGE TO APPLY FOR A MSC or PHD DEGREE but there’s an OLD AGE for BSC application.

Ok, GRACE factor (Wetin Nigerians like to hear). Lol

GOD NO GO SHAME US.
