Tinubu's political sagacity is being tested. Will he be able to scale through all the political maneuvering and achieve his lifelong ambition? Will he join the likes of Chief Obafemi Awolowo and MKO who came close to the promised land but never entered? Only time will tell.

In Lagos state Tinubu imposes candidates under the guise of GAC (Governor Advisory Committee) which he controls. APC NWC is about to use that same strategy against Tinubu.

What goes around comes around

After last Convention of APC, I guess Tinubu and his gang now understand what Consensus means, it mean 'President Muhammadu Buhari's preferred candidate' and nothing more. Whether Buhari will singlehandedly select the next APC candidate? It is 100% certain he would. They will tell him to remember how Obasanjo singlehandedly selected Late Yar Adua as his successor and then tell him that he would look like a weak President if he does not have his way with his party's choice of candidate. It however appears that Tinubu's camp is in the know that BAT is not even being considered as likely APC candidate and therefore insisting on primaries where they hope to heavily bribe delegates with the money looted from Lagos in the past 23 years

We all know the consensus candidate will most likely be a southerner and it's not Tinubu. Who do you guys think he would be? Osinbajo? Amaechi?

It's between Ogbonna Onu, Nwajiuba (minister of education for states) he will declare today or tomorrow , or Amaechi

Osibanjo stands no chance because the northerners believe he will reunite with Tinubu

You really think APC will give the ticket to the SE? It will be interesting to see though especially if Peter Obi gets the ticket for PDP. At least talks of marginalisation will reduce and northerners would have no choice but to pick one. If PDP now field Atiku that will scatter everything.

Tinubu is out of the race as it stands unless we want to deceive ourselves
and Osibanjo is a lighter weight , he stands no chance

Buhari cannot be predicted, Ogbonna Onu and Nwajiuba stands a chance

you Sabi the game

I can tell you the primary reason buhari is interested in choosing his successor is because if he doesn't tinubu would fill that vacuum

He has lived with tinubu since 2015 close up and have seen how materialistic he can be

The thought of fulanis handling one nijeria to such a man frightens him, like this man would not just loot the nation dry

But establish a Lagos system where he would continue to rule via proxy there by taking power from the northern block

tinubu is out of the race you can see his drowning approach of trying to get the backing of south west aspirants because his failure is set

The sentiment doesn't favour south east that's why the most experienced orji kalu has stepped aside

A south west person won't be chosen by buhari because they must definitely compromise with tinubu at one point since he owns their region

Amaechi is the rallying point for those in southeast apc, those in south west who knows he has been with the party from day one

Those in the north who knows his efforts in improving their region

And the president circle whom he has been loyal to

The apc Chairman whom he convinced to join apc and made Chairman

Its only madness that will make APC give its ticket to Tinubu. What he has done in Lagos is what will be used to nail him. It is not being politically smart to sit on the neck of a State for a continuous period of 23 years non stop. He determine Governors, House of Assembly, House of Rep, Senators, LGA Chairmen in Lagos all these while. Once he sought to extend his territory to the national level was when greed set in. He can't be President of Nigeria. Nobody wants to be slave to Tinubu.

In other for consensus to work 29 aspirants have to volontrily step down and their ₦100,000,000 paid back in full with compensation

₦100,000,000 * 29 = ₦2.9 billion..

Which of the aspirants have atleast ₦3 billion to buy his way to consensus?!

Will Buhari open CBN vaults to fund his anoited candidate?!

Will Osinbajo, Ameachi, Yeye Bello who had already started bribing Delegates simply go down without a fight

.
If Buhari invites you to Aso Rock and asks you to step down, u will step down without be refunded a dime. You will only grumble quitely and go home.

APC members have foolishly elevated Buhari to the level of a god so much that nobody dares to disobey or confront him.

And then, the APC primary (consensus) will take place in such a time that it will be too late for anyone to decamp.

Some persons say buhari is fighting corruption and I wonder what their brains are made of. This election, will be the most monetized elections in our democratic history you'll see. It will make 2015 seem like a bad joke!

Already, see where they fixed primaries, so that anyone shot down won't be able to go contest under another party.
Do you have a problem with that?

As the Mr. of Science and Technology Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu would be declaring today, expect dramatic twist in the much talked about consensus.

It'll take all of you by surprise what Mr. President has been cooking in the Aso Rock with his deafening silence.

If you want to see the true meaning of illiteracy just come to nairaland. People are still arguing about consensus and imposition with the new electoral act in place? What most ignorant commenters here don't know is that consensus is even more difficult now with the numbers of people in the race. People can step down for others but you can't force a consensus now because of the implications from the new electoral act. The men in the race are not babies o

If they don't sign up willingly and you force a consensus, the courts will help you interpret the consequences. The process is null and void for reason of forceful exclusion and the party will have no candidate in the election. INEC has warned all parties already in this regard.

The best they can do is endorse somebody and allow others to go to the field with him in other to validate the process otherwise sorry oooooo

I sincerely and analytically made some valid points about this presidency of a thing last year here buh some of Tinubu's urchins and miscreants were very paranoid and came down with their silly gutter words buh the truth still remains the truth,no matter what...
Tinubu and Osibanjo can never be the presidential candidate of APC comes 2023 whether people like it or not because North can never give power to a very influential and powerful man like Tinubu and they can never still give power to Osibanjo via Tinubu by proxy (because even Obasanjo fought off powerful Babangida then and gave power to soft Yar'adua) buh some miscreants failed to understand this simple thing buh living in a delusional state of bondage and slavery deceits.
Truth be told,Tinubu is the second most powerful man in Nigeria after Buhari and no president in the world hands power over to a man as powerful as the president niii(imagine when the said man becomes the president)...
In as much as I don't see power going to the south west,I still don't see power going to the south east too(even though morally and uprightly, they ought to have it) buh I see power going to the south south or back to the north....
Finally,I don't hate Tinubu buh I dislike almost Nigerian politicians because 95% of them are greedy, wicked, selfish and evil.
Besides, whosoever they elect,it wouldn't affect me and i'm making this last comment for those foolish oppressed apes that can kill for their oppressors niii....gracias!!!!

And they elevated Buhari to such god-like status so as to oppress some other people in Nigeria, thinking he'll handover them. but alas it has come to hunt everybody. None of them can stand Buhari in the face. And they know what Buhari can do. Talk or act anyhow and he won't speak; he'll just act!

Dasuki, MNK, etc are examples of what Buahri can do.

grin these people won't learn

Buhari just did one and was successful this year

Ok now observe the following aspirants

Osinbajo, ngige, nwajiuba, timi slya, akpabio #cabinet members
(buhari is their boss as we speak)

Yahaya below, fayemi, umuahi, ayade, baduru #Governors
(these are buhari stooges, fayemi was his minister b4, Bello is his boy, umuahi have senate ticket, baduru is in buhari cabal, ayade buhari wannabe)

Rochas, kalu, amosun, #senators
(The three have senate ticket, kalu would back out if it is not zone to SE, Amosun own is so far tinubu is cut to size, rochas own is to enjoy loot)

Tunde Bakare (pro buhari decision is his choice)

You have majority of the aspirants who are benefitting under buhari at present, or his sycophants who don't want to offend him

Only tinubu is the loone ranger looking to fight dirty, but should buhari call a meeting for his consesus 90% of these aspirants are prepared to support it so it would put tinubu in a position where he is choiceless

There is nothing any of them can do. From now till next year Buhari has all the time to use EFCC and ICPC to hound and destroy most of these candidates. Onoghen, former CJN, is an example.
