Hello mamas. My 5 month + old baby is always crying in the night while sleeping without even opening his eyes. If he sleep within 15mins, he'll start crying but during the day he will be fine and playing but when night comes that's when the issue arise. What could be the problem and what can we do to solve this issue

Good evening mums my baby is 3weeks old and she has been having rashes right from when she came out, especially on her face and neck which is beginning to irritate her skin, I have tried stopping using soap for a while it didn't go, I heard sudo cream works but it bleaches, please what can I use that won't darken or affect her skin.

First use Tribotan Baby cream for a week, depending on how severe the rashes are. This is because I can see something looking like fungal lesions on her neck. Tribotan baby will handle any fungal caused rash/lesion cause it has clotrimazole. It will also help with bacteria a bit. But it is mainly a fungal topical cream.Apply morning and night on the places with the rashes, her face, her neck, hands, etcTribotan baby is like 500 or so

After the tribotan baby, always use Agnesia powder as her night powder. Now Agnesia will handle mainly the bacteria rash as its main composition is Chlorhexidine. A potent antibacterial.Apply all over her body especial neck, face and back. Can't remember how much Agnesia is sold.
She will be fine mama.

My baby is 9 months old.. she had cradle cap earlier when she was about 2 to 3 months.. cradle cap cleared and since then she’s been losing hair.. I mean seriously losing hair.. one would think I shaved off her hair.. her hair keeps thinning out and her scalp would be so smooth like there was never hair there.. please anyone who knows a solution to this?I'm a first time mom.

Has a doctor seen this? Sounds like alopecia but the cause needs to be investigated.

Breastmilk and nan are sweet, water is bland so its natural for babies to reject water....you just have to keep trying. Sometimes babies copy adults so maybe you can pretend you are drinking the water from the cup and offer her too

The doctor keeps saying it’ll go/stop by itself

This one isnt very advisable, but that's how americans get their babies to drink water.. mixing with juice or ribena. Then you can slowly reduce the juice to make it less sweeter.
Have you tried that?

No Ma, haven't tried that as she just turned 5months. I was hoping if it persists when she turns 6months, then I will do fresh orange juice heavily diluted with water or ribena as I don't want her getting used to our normal packaged juice at such early age.
Thanks again Mama. kiss

For her elder sister who is 6years +, I didn't have this issue. That one is a fish who loves water right from birth till now, I believe this one will begin to imitate her as she grows older, but my worry is now, she needs the water as her poop is strong and she strains.
Thanks Mama.

Well, a young female undergrad then was alleged to have taken some drugs (mawu mawu) to enhance her figure because people called her "thin" and she died not long after she "fattened up".
Besides it's my poem,I don't owe any explanation. Thank you!

Hello Mamas. I took my baby to get his one-year vaccines (chickenpox, MMR and vitamin A) but the hospital I use didn't have the chickenpox vaccine. They said it's not been available for a while, and they promised to call when it is.

I'm worried about not getting his shot early, as there is no guarantee of when it will be available. Is there any implication in delaying the shot?

Also, I'll greatly appreciate it if anyone recommends a hospital on the mainland (Lagos) currently administering the vaccine.

Thank you, mamas.

Honestly I don't have first hand info on the implications of not taking vaccines as when due but I know there are reasons why these vaccines are scheduled according to a child's age/growth milestones. Please take out time on your own and visit other health centers to ask questions as soon as you can. You might be lucky to get recommendation from the health workers and get the shot just intime
Cheers
