I submitted my adr in February. Till now it’s been crickets. No ghost update, nothing. I only got an acknowledgment mail hours after submitting. I’m honestly fed up of all this and some days I wish I never knew or started this journey.
After all the stress and exams I wrote to get to this point, I’m finally here and still nothing. It’s really tiring and unfair. Mtshewww
I understand it can be frustrating. Just hang in there. If you feel this way, then imagine how those who haven’t even smelt ITA after writing series of exams and spending money would feel. Just use this time to focus on professional certifications that would help you settle well when you land. It will end in praise!

Good day everyone, I have a question
We went for medicals on April 27(didn't submit with application from the start), after asking alot of people for mails to send to that will make IRCC receive it fast, we sent the e medical sheet to different IRCC mails and we used the normal webform, on May 3 we caught a GU on our profile(in the morning), this same day around 10pm at night we caught another GU and on our profile it changed from YOU DO NOT NEED A MEDICAL EXAM........ to WE ARE REVIEWING YOUR MEDICAL RESULT........

Does this mean IRCC has seen the e medical sheet we sent to them
Thanks in anticipation

Please can you share the email you used in contacting IRCC

If you have the money and you meet the requirements for a Provincial Nomination (in the province of your choice), GO for it.

However, you can hang around because you're on a good standing - probably a few draws might get to you.

Good luck.

Zeewirld:
Would you advice anyone with a CRS score of 480 to go with PNP nomination or hang around for the FSW that should resume by July 2022?

You can answer your question yourself chief.

What exactly do you do to earn money? Once you've determined that, do you spend up to 37.5 hours doing it weekly? If YES, it's full-time. If NO, likely part-time.

Also, do you have an offer letter regarding your employment with the Asian coy? If YES, what does it state? (full-time or part-time). Being remote shouldn't matter. Can you get a reference letter from them as proof?

Read page 1 for info on self-employment.

Thank you. I've extensively read on the self-employment proof of work experience. The contract with the Asian company listed me as a third-party content writer.

Also, most of the people who opted for self employed proof of work experience used CAC documents, and tax documents. Thing is... I don't have any. I have work with my friends small business and done short term content marketing gigs for them. On my blog, I've worked with companies to create sponsored post and I was paid via PayPal all the time.

What kind of documents do I need then?

What documents do you have? You have to have some paper trail, plus you know your blogging and marketing gig better than we do.

IRCC didn't ask for tax (see screenshot), and when they mentioned CAC docs they also said OR (or being the operative word) other docs to show evidence of self employment, so what do you have? Contracts? Pay pal receipts? References from Asian company and friends' companies? Email trail of your writing and how they edited it etc? Pls read that link on page 1 AGAIN, here for ease of reference https://www.nairaland.com/6081746/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/567#101886861

Also read FAQ 2 which has a list of people who used self employed. Some of the options they used may be available to you. About 10 or so monikers are listed in both links, read them, something will resonate hopefully.

As Miolad said your remote work is still work if you meet the requirements for work experience - read page 1. Do you have the number of hours, full time or part time X 2, were you paid, is the NOC 0, A or B, will the Asian company give you a reference letter? In short..........page 1.

All the best !

Hi all,
To be eligible for CEC can one use 1 year experience from 3 different jobs with 3 different NOC (like NOC1111 worked for 3 months..NOC 2222 worked for 5 months etc)? Or must all be in 1 NOC?

2-If one can use from different NOC ,for the PR application can the person use the NOC with more years of experience (like 5 years that was worked outside Canada) as the primary NOC or must it be the NOC for a job in Canada.

1. Screenshot & link https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/canadian-experience-class.html

2. I suspect you can use either NOC as primary NOC (Inland or Outland so long as it is 0, A,B etc). Then update work history of your profile with both Canadian and Outland WE. So long as you provide evidence that matches the stream you receive ITA for, there should be no issues.

E.g. If you qualify for both CEC & FSW but are invited for CEC then obviously you need to provide the Canadain WE NOCs ref letter etc. If you are invited for FSW, to be on the safe side you should prepare to provide WE evidence/ref letter for both Inland and Outland WE. Read up though, I may be wrong. I'm sure you know that for CEC your WE cannot be self employed or gained while studying.

@Bold... I thought return tickets are to be used within the year. Is there a specific type you opted for that allows you to activate and use anytime you like..? Please clarify. Thanks

Thanks for the wishes

You are correct, opening of tickets is valid only for a year . I actually have something bringing me back to Nigeria within this one year window, so I'm okay with it.

Do not bank on what you are yet to see. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Go for the provincial route if you have gotten NOI. No one knows if there will be changes to EE draws, not that I am saying or praying for changes but don’t bank on what you haven’t seen.

Good day everyone,
My husband and I applied for FSW, I had a medical request from IRCC, the request was just for me, my husband’s own was not requested. I did my medicals and it was uploaded, I always sent a webform. I have a work permit application running and my medicals was passed in my work permit application, but IRCC just sent me another message now to submit my medical, I don’t know what to do about this, since it’s already showing on my work permit application.

I forgot to tell you that I signed up with an agency in Nigeria. Although, I don't really trust them. They told me to pay heavily for a PDE, which I refused, and suggested that I use web design NOC 2175, which I also refused. I explained my predicament to them and this was the reply I got:

"Firstly, I'd like to you to note that every NOC has its requirement(s). At the point of sign up, you were advised to get an additional degree. Further communication on the additional degree was made to you via mail by A*****. I also recommended a course (Science Education) to you based on your background in Physiology as opposed to you picking Computer Education.

Although, you didn't proceed with the arrangement as you stated that most of the courses were in education.

Secondly, I also informed you that the PDE is to add additional points to your CRS score to boost your point and you will be getting a computer certificate which will serve as the Certificate of Qualification for you to be profiled for NOC 2175.

You said you have been self employed and you own a blog and your NOC is NOC 0124 which is a managerial NOC.

Kindly be informed that; the requirement to practice in that NOC, is having several years of work experience as a sales marketer/rep/executive and also a degree in either commerce, business administration, media development, data administration or in a related field.
You also cannot become a Manager without climbing the "ladder", career-wise.

NOC 2175 was recommended to you as a result of our experience overtime. A certificate in WEB design can serve as a certificate of qualification for the role we advised.

[s]Subsequently, I would also want to implore you to allow the professionals that you have charged with the responsibility of handling your profile do their jobs.[/s]

I would like to reiterate that, NOC 2175 is still the safest option for you to get profiled for, based your BSC qualification."

I told them about using self employed proof of work experience and I got this:

"For you to claim that you're self-employed, you're required to meet the following requirements and provide the documents highlighted below;

1. CAC Documents
2. Cooperate Tax payers registration documents
3. Memorandum and Article of Association
4. FIRS Revenue collectors receipt
5. Particulars of person who are first directors of the company
6. Tax clearance certificate
7. All suppliers invoices since you started your business
8. Suppliers receipt from the year you started your business
9 proof of employment
9a customers receipt and invoices since you started till date
9b. Business bank statement highlighting customers name (it is always advisable for the payment to be from the same client you're using for the receipt and invoices so that it matches)
9c. Reference letters from customers, partners, share holders, logistics companies you used both inter and intra States
9d. Business cards, flyers , company paper bags etc
9e. Organization organogram
9f. Letter of explanation for your business(extensive introduction of your business, work duties, work hour, daily routine, etc)
10. Personal income statement (salary paid to yourself. If you don't have write a strong LOE explaining this.
11. Pictures of your business social media page
12. Screenshot of your website and customers feedback or reviews
13. 6 month bank statement of your business
14. Proof of payment to vendors or suppliers.

The above documents are just a few of what you will be providing if you claim to be self employed. "

Honestly, I'm really confused and I want to be sure that I'm making the right moves. Also, I want to as honest as possible with this entire process. What do you think I should do? Stick with the agency's recommended NOC or choose my NOC 0124. Please any advice is welcome.

Two things:

1. My personal opinion is that agents are unnecessary (especially when you consider that it is your life and future at stake). Others have used them successfully though. Also thousands of people on NL have got PR by navigating these waters on their own......

2. Please read page 1. When you read it, some things that the agent has said which are incorrect will be clear to you e.g. you do not need to meet the education requirements of your NOC. NOT everything the agent said is incorrect e.g. if you have only a BSc then you DO need another degree to max your CRS as he suggests, that 2nd degree does not need to be related to your first though.....also he is correct that you should be careful in using managerial NOCs like 0124.

Study page one and all the links and I guarantee you will be able to analyze the agent's letter (e.g. it will be crystal clear to you what criteria determines your choice of NOC) and pick the wheat from the chaff....then we sef go put mouth.

Btw what is PDE and why do you have to pay for it?

All the best!

Thanks for your answer. I'll read page one thoroughly and get back to you.

As for the PDE, it's an education degree that they said I can get very fast and add to my WES. But it's expensive.
