Saxxon:
Christians should go and read up, find out the meaning of "Taquiyya". This OP and every other proponent of Islam KNOWS very well that killing in the name of Mohammad or on behalf of Mohammad is very well welcomed in Islam. Mohammad himself was a murderous psychopath. He encouraged his followers to maim anyone who doesn't believe in his prophethood. He even described how the unbelievers should be disemboweled. The ones that don't practice or support such practices in Islam today are seen as "infidels". That is why an average Fulani/Hausa muslim does not rate Yoruba Muslims because the Yorubas are widely known to be very liberal and accommodating. While the former are very conservative.

CHRISTIANS and every other persons out there, DO NOT allow yourselves to be deceived. This game of denial is called "Taquiyya". It has been going on for ages now. Muslims have been playing cat and mice with Christians for aeons now, committing heinous crimes in the name of allah and later sending a few unimportant figures to disown it so that the Christians can be at ease. The ones who are in power are also given a waiver to disown it because that is their job. But, they MUST do so under the capacity of the office with which they serve, NOT personally. Thats why the Sultan can't disown it, BUT the SULTANATE can. The President himself can't speak against it but the PRESIDENCY can. This type of deception is called "Taquiyya". It is what Mohammad asked them to do.

DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELVES TO BE DECEIVED.

Ask yourselves, if it is unislamic, then why can't their leaders come out individually to disown it in public? Why couldn't Atiku Abubakar make that tweet and stand by it with his full chest?? Even some Christian leaders who need their votes can't come out to condemn it, WHY?? IF IT IS UNISLAMIC, THEN WHY ARE THE POPULATION OF MUSLIMS SOLIDLY BEHIND IT?

CHRISTIANS should also read up on something called "LAW OF ABROGATION".

It is a law in Islam that annuls old teachings in place of the new one. What that means is that whatever Mohammad said in his old texts are rendered NULL AND VOID by his new teachings. Mohammad himself said this when one of his followers accused him of contradicting himself. He told them to wave off anything he said before. That's why in the old texts, he was known to be tolerant and peaceful. THESE ARE THE TEXTS MUSLIMS GO TO PULL OUT WHENEVER THEY WANT TO DEFEND THEIR BLOODSUCKING RELIGION. But in later texts, he threw away peace and embraced premium violence!

These are the type of light I expect that fool called Righteousness2 to be shedding to Christians on this forum. I'm not even a Christian but here I am doing the Lord's work. Educate people, not blunten their brain.
Can you please go to sokoto and say this please
Re: These Verses Affirm Tolerance and forbid unjust killings Towards Non-muslim by IMAliyu(m): 3:26pm On May 13, 2022
The problem here is if I wanted to make a case for Islam being a tolerant and peace loving religion I can, by choosing verses and hadiths that supports that view.
And if I wanted to demonize and make the religion look like the worse thing to ever plague this earth, I easily can by choosing verses and hadiths that supports this view.

Which is the problem. The people that killed Deborah didn't do it because of tribalism, money or any worldly concept, but were animated by of their religious beliefs, and for their minds they did an honorable thing and Allah will reward them.

Terrorist quote and draw from the Quran and Hadiths to support their ways and actions.

And I'm sorry but in Nigeria more and more Christians and nonMuslims are afraid to live in the Muslim dominanted North, because of the history and recurrence of violent killings on religious basis.

The thing is if their is constant contradiction between what a people keep saying and the observable outcomes of their actions. There is a problem.

So what can we say to this Verses from the Quran and Haddit, that some Muslim use to justify these killings.

*FROM QURAN*

Those who annoy Allah and His Messenger – Allah has cursed them in this World and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating Punishment. Truly, if the Hypocrites, and those in whose hearts is a disease, and those who stir up sedition in the City, desist not, We shall certainly stir thee up against them: Then will they not be able to stay in it as thy neighbours for any length of time: They shall have a curse on them: whenever they are found, they shall be seized and slain (without mercy).
— Qur'an, [Quran 33:57–61

The only punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is that they should be murdered, or crucified, or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides, or they should be imprisoned. This shall he a disgrace for them in this world, and in the Hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement. Except those who repent before you overpower them; so know that Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
—  [Quran 5:33–34]

*FROM HADDITH*

The Prophet said, "Who is ready to kill Ka'b ibn al-Ashraf who has really hurt Allah and His Apostle?" Muhammad bin Maslama said, "O Allah's Apostle! Do you like me to kill him?" He replied in the affirmative. So, Muhammad bin Maslama went to him (i.e. Ka'b) and said, "This person (i.e. the Prophet) has put us to task and asked us for charity." Ka'b replied, "By Allah, you will get tired of him." Muhammad said to him, "We have followed him, so we dislike to leave him till we see the end of his affair." Muhammad bin Maslama went on talking to him in this way till he got the chance to kill him. Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah
— Sahih al-Bukhari, 4:52:270

Any Muslim who blasphemes against Allah or His Messenger or blasphemes against any one from amongst the prophets is thereby guilty of rejecting the truth of the Messenger of God, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. This is apostasy (ridda) for which repentance is necessary; if he repents he is released; if not then he is killed. Likewise, if any other person [non-Muslim] who is protected under a covenant becomes hostile and blasphemes against Allah or any one of Allah's Prophet and openly professes this, he breaches his covenant, so kill him.

— Ibn Qayyim al Jawziya and Ata 1998, 4:379

*NOTE*
However, in five countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, blasphemy is punishable by execution.
Why the blasphemy in the first place?

1. Context of verse is during battlefield

Critics of Islam actually quote this verse out of context. In order to understand the context, we need to read from verse 1 of this surah. It says that there was a peace treaty between the Muslims and the Mushriks (pagans) of Makkah. This treaty was violated by the Mushriks of Makkah. A period of four months was given to the Mushriks of Makkah to make amends. Otherwise war would be declared against them. Verse 5 of Surah Taubah says:

“But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” [Al-Qur’an 9:5]

This verse is quoted during a battle.

2. Example of war between America and Vietnam

We know that America was once at war with Vietnam. Suppose the President of America or the General of the American Army told the American soldiers during the war: “Wherever you find the Vietnamese, kill them”. Today if I say that the American President said, “Wherever you find the Vietnamese, kill them” without giving the context, I will make him sound like a butcher. But if I quote him in context, that he said it during a war, it will sound very logical, as he was trying to boost the morale of the American soldiers during the war.

3. Verse 9:5 quoted to boost morale of Muslims during battle

Similarly in Surah Taubah chapter 9 verse 5 the Qur’an says, “Kill the Mushriks wherever you find them”, during a battle to boost the morale of the Muslim soldiers. What the Qur’an is telling Muslim soldiers is, don’t be afraid during battle; wherever you find the enemies kill them.

4. Critics jump from verse 5 to verse 7

Arun Shourie is one of the staunchest critics of Islam in India. He quotes the same verse, Surah Taubah chapter 9 verse 5 in his book ‘The World of Fatawas’, on page 572. After quoting verse 5 he jumps to verse 7 of Surah Taubah. Any sensible person will realize that he has skipped verse 6.

5. Surah Taubah chapter 9 verse 6 gives the answer

Surah Taubah chapter 9 verse 6 gives the answer to the allegation that Islam promotes violence, brutality and bloodshed. It says:

“If one amongst the pagans ask thee for asylum, grant it to him, so that he may hear the word of Allah; and then escort him to where he can be secure that is because they are men without knowledge.” [Al-Qur’an 9:6]

The Qur’an not only says that a Mushrik seeking asylum during the battle should be granted refuge, but also that he should be escorted to a secure place. In the present international scenario, even a kind, peace-loving army General, during a battle, may let the enemy soldiers go free, if they want peace. But which army General will ever tell his soldiers, that if the enemy soldiers want peace during a battle, don’t just let them go free, but also escort them to a place of security?

This is exactly what Allah (swt) says in the Glorious Qur’an to promote peace in the world

Below are some of the Quran verses that affirm tolerance and forbid unjust killings toward non-Muslims.

“[w]hoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one is as if he had saved mankind entirely.”
(Suratul Maidah verse 32)

“And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed] except by [legal] right. This has He instructed you that you may use reason."
(Suratul An'am verse 151)

“There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong.”
(Suratul Baqorah)

“And if they incline to peace, then incline to it [also] and rely upon Allah. Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Knowing.”
(Suratul Al-Anfal verse 61)

“O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah, witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do.”
(Suratul Maidah verse 8 )

“Indeed, those who have believed [in Prophet Muhammad] and those [before Him] who were Jews or Sabeans or Christians - those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.”
(Suratul Maidah verse 69)

Did you just go there?

I wouldn't if I was you.

Islam that made it as a rule to marry prepubescent girls?

How old was Aisha when the Prophet took her for wife?

It's also evident in northern nigeria with the penchant northern men have such huge appetites for the poosay of underage girls. Were we not debating the other day at the floor of the national assembly whether to allow marriage of prepubescent girls?

Islam is filled with the most debased ideas.

Now back to your accusations about the church, yes, Roman Catholic Church is riddled with child abuse and paedophilia and I won't hide it. They even find was to protect priests who should be handed over to secular government for prosecution the same way Nigeria police will do anything to protect an erring cop. Christianity has its own faults too. That don't mean I won't speak against Islam, by the way I'm only culturally christian because I'm born in the south, other than that, I long denounced the religion and any other religion for that matter.

These two religions we draw daggers and go at each other's jugular for are not even indigenous to us. They're all tools used to subjugate us as Africans. Imagine what nigeria would have been like if we didn't have any of these religions, don't you think we'll have a more peaceful and sane space?

IPOB/ESN has been killing cows and herders before starting to kill their Igbo brothers why not say they are killing for Christ?

Or have Christians resort to killing humans, cows, beheading and burning them?

IPOB are not killing for religion. Not all Igbos are Christians. Their leader follows Judaism while others are traditional worshippers.
Besides, ipob have denied being behind killings while boko, iswap and the latest terrorists, Sokoto students proudly showed everyone the matches they used to commit murder

It's easy to quote some verses of the Quran to support your view, but I tell you, Islam and the Quran has as it's Central theme; violence against those who do not believe in your religion a.k.a. infidels.

In reality, Islam's mainframe is built and sustained on violence. Take a look at countries where Islam holds sway, honor killings, killing of infidels, and killings linked generally to religion is rife.

Do you remember the Danish cartoon? Can you recall Charlie Hebdo? The cases are endless. Any religion, idea or doctrine that is why of criticism cannot be progressive. When the rest of the world prides itself in change and evolution, Islam prides itself in the fact that the religion has remained the same as it was since 1400 years ago. Christianity used to be worse than Islam but they opened up to criticism and change and here we are, even though there's still a lot that needs to be changed about christianity. Mind you, I'm not a christian anymore even though I may pass as a cultural christian.

There's no way you can successfully separate Islam from violence. Islam is only peaceful in countries where they're a minority, and they still cause a lot of trouble as a minority.

Imagine a world without Islam, Imagine a world without religion.

Let me end with the lyrics to John Lennon's Imagine.

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us, only sky
Imagine all the people
Livin' for today
Ah
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too
Imagine all the people
Livin' life in peace
You
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
Oga this shows u do not even know ur own religion. Go and read about the brutality committed in the name of Christianity in the last 100 year 50 years even

It's so wonderful to be a Muslim and see so many hatred being exhibited especially by Christians who professes love as their mantra.

Some even designed flyers in hate campaign!

They (the disbelievers, the Jews and the Christians) want to extinguish Allah's Light (with which Muhammad SAW has been sent - Islamic Monotheism) with their mouths, but Allah will not allow except that His Light should be perfected even though the Kafirun (disbelievers) hate (it).
Qur'an 9:32

It's Christians who hate. It is Muslims who kill

Who say this in your glorious Quran?

Quran 5:51

“Don’t take Jews or Christians for friends. If you do, then Allah will consider you to be one of them.”
The Qur'an does not say that non-Muslims cannot be Muslims (Isaiah 56:5: the future believers' name. Sons and daughters titles will be "no more"wink' friends, nor does it forbid Muslims (Isaiah 56:5: the future believers' name. Sons and daughters titles will be "no more"wink to be friendly to non-Muslims. There are many non-Muslims who are good friends of Muslim individuals and the Muslim community. There are also many good Muslims (Isaiah 56:5: the future believers' name. Sons and daughters titles will be "no more"wink who truly and sincerely observe their faith and are very friendly to many non-Muslims at the same time.

Islam teaches us that we should be friendly to all people. Islam teaches us that we should deal even with our enemies with justice and fairness. Allah says in the Qur'an in the beginning of the same Surat Al-Ma’dah: [O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah as witnesses to fair dealings and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just, that is next to piety. Fear Allah, indeed Allah is well-acquainted with all that you do.] (Al-Ma’dah 5 :cool

In another place in the Qur'an, Allah Almighty says:

[Allah forbids you not with regard to those who fight you not for your faith, nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them. For Allah loves those who are just. Allah only forbids you with regard to those who fight you for your faith, and drive you out of your homes and support others in driving you out, from turning to them for protection (or taking them as wali). Those who seek their protection they are indeed wrong- doers.] (Al-Mumtahinah 60: 8-9)

Moreover, Allah Almighty has described Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) as "a mercy" to the worlds. He was a sign of Allah's Mercy to all, Muslims (Isaiah 56:5: the future believers' name. Sons and daughters titles will be "no more"wink as well as non-Muslims. In his kindness and fair treatment he did not make any difference between the believers and non-believers. He was kind to the pagans of Makkah and fought them only when they fought him. He made treaties with the Jews of Madinah and honored the treaties until they broke them.

He (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have received the Christians of Najran with kindness in his Masjid in Madinah. They argued with him about Islam, but he returned them with honor and respect. There are many examples from his life that show that he was the friendliest person to all people.

In the verse you quoted, the word "Awliya" is used. It is a plural and its singular is "wali". The correct translation of the word ""wali"" is not "friend" but it is someone who is very close and intimate. It is also used to mean "guardian, protector, patron, lord and master".

In the Qur'an this word is used for God, such as [Allah is the Protector (or Lord and Master) of those who believe. He takes them out from the depths of darkness to light…] (Al- Baqarah 2: 257)

There are many other references in the Qur'an that give this meaning. The same word is also sometimes used in the Qur'an for human beings, such as [And whosoever is killed unjustly, We have granted his next kin "wali" the authority (to seek judgement or punishment in this case)…] (Al-‘Isra' 17 :33)

The correct translation of the verse in Surat Al-Ma’idah is: [O you who believe! Do not take Jews and Christians as your patrons. They are patrons of their own people. He among you who will turn to them for patronage is one of them. Verily Allah guides not a people unjust.] (Al-Ma'dah 5: 51)

It is obvious that Jews patronize the Jews and Christians patronize the Christians, so why not Muslims (Isaiah 56:5: the future believers' name. Sons and daughters titles will be "no more"wink patronize Muslims (Isaiah 56:5: the future believers' name. Sons and daughters titles will be "no more"wink had a set back. At that time, a Muslim from Madinah said, "I am going to live with Jews so I shall be safe in case another attack comes on Madinah." And another person said, "I am going to live with Christians so I shall be safe in case another attack comes on Madinah." So Allah revealed this verse reminding the believers that they should not seek the protection from others, but should protect each other. (See Ibn Kathir, Al-Tafsir, vol. 2, p. 68)

Muslims (Isaiah 56:5: the future believers' name. Sons and daughters titles will be "no more"wink are allowed to have non-Muslims as friends as long as they keep their own faith and commitment to Islam pure and strong. You are correct in pointing out that a Muslim man is also allowed to marry a Jewish or Christian woman. It is obvious that one marries someone for love and friendship. If friendship between Muslims (Isaiah 56:5: the future believers' name. Sons and daughters titles will be "no more"wink and Jews or Christians was forbidden, then why would Islam allow a Muslim man to marry a Jew or Christian woman? It is the duty of Muslims (Isaiah 56:5: the future believers' name. Sons and daughters titles will be "no more"wink to patronize Muslims (Isaiah 56:5: the future believers' name. Sons and daughters titles will be "no more"wink. They should not patronize any one who is against their faith or who fights their faith, even if they were their fathers and brothers. Allah says: [O you who believe! Take not for protectors (awliya') your fathers and your brothers if they love unbelief above faith. If any of you do so, they are indeed wrong-doers.] (Al-Tawbah 9: 23)- Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi, former president of the Islamic Society of North America

Now that your Ramadan has finished, don't forget the instructions given to you by the authors of your Quran

Quran 9:5

Muhammad Ahmed & Samira

So if the months the forbidden/sacred ended/passed , so fight/kill the sharers/takers of partners (with Allah) where/when you found them, and take/punish them and restrict/confine them and remain/be concerned and prepared/beset for them (in) every lookout/observatory , so if they repented, and kept up the prayers and gave/brought the charity/ purification , so free their way/path , that Allah (is) forgiving, merciful

You don't know the basis of this. You just quoted it out of context. If this thing you quote is related to what you have in mind, you and I would be struggling to exist.
