Goodluck Jonathan did not give any room for anybody to speculate. People just wanted to speculate for their own reasons. He released a statement debunking the news, but some people ignored it and went ahead with the story as if they know more than the man himself. His former media aide, who spoke to him, also debunked the news, but people went ahead because they like beer parlour gossip.
