It's quite some time since I posted here, but let me just say something here.
1. Clickable Table of contents will make your book easy to read for readers and you must make your book clickable so it adheres to the standard.
2. The number of books you have in your account doesn't matter, what matters is the quality of the book content, and presentation (ensure that it is formatted properly according to the nitch standard
3. Before you publish any book, make sure you have provided something that can either educate, entertain or solve a problem.
4 visibility, you must know how to use keywords in your book descriptions, back-end keywords, and other book metadata.
Finally with a quality book cover.
Then you forget it and continue with another book because you can never know the one that will make money for you.
You can still do everything right and still no sale. That's the only logic why you should have more books.
But lucky chaps may have just 3 or 4 and they're already making money from kdp.
The keyword here is don't experiment with books, make sure that it is perfect before you publish. If you can't do it, get professionals to do it after all it is an investment.

Reviews Reviews and more Reviews are the lifeblood your published books needs in other to make consistent sales.
If your published book has zero - 5 reviews, then your book is really gonna be a hard sell.

You must have a strategy to get reviews and to promote your published books on Amazon and failure to do so wouldn't be financially rewarding.

Make sure people are searching for that keywords.

For categories, choose wisely. You can always change the categories.

as many as possible. You can't know the actual number anyway unless you use other tools.
But a decent amount should be 300 and above. Although try out keywords searches above 1000 - 3000

I don't do low content. But o guess you have to reduce image sizes in the documents.

Kdp Amazon is closing account of audiobook publishers who are not from USA.

They will ask them to produce electricity bill.

If they didn't send a usa bill their audiobook will be removed.

Take note.

Though this development does not apply nor affect me since I'm in compliance with all the criteria needed but audible recently started requesting for the copyright documents of your book before you can upload your book on audible and this may become the next future development where kdp may start demanding valid copyright documents in other to publish your book on their platform.

I was able to scale this recent huddle by registering all my self published book on Amazon with the United States copyright commissions through the link below.

$85 for 10 unpublished works but I paid $65 / book since they were already published and selling books on Amazon kdp.

The standard registration fee for electronic registration is $65.

Electronic applications take between two and three months to process while paper applications, the filing fee is $125 and the processing time is ten to fifteen months.

Someone can also copyright the work of another author and claim it is their work and the original author can't prove the work belongs to them without a copyrighted proof.


It is highly advisable to start getting one's self-published books copyrighted since no one can predict the future.

What is Amazon KDP?
