No hating, just an observation. Seeing PPR from applicants who applied in late 2021, 2022 or months after April or May 2021 applicants. Makes me wonder what's up with IRCC? are files selected randomly because honesty it doesn't seem fair.
There are news from IRCC that they are working on Backlogs...but is Nairobi exempted? it seems like a bias or tactic to make people withdraw and reapply without refund.

I don't think so. I don't know what their pattern is but i know someone that applied with no BSc result and no tangible work record and was approved in a short time recently

I also heard of someone with BSC accounting and got approved too. I think the spouse demand thing as well as application queue in processing and will be attended to as it was submitted thing is just a scam to make us rest. May God just pick my call and make they approve the application. Non the less I still keep bombarding them with webform and emails but they dont respond again. So just waiting going to 45 weeks now

if that's the case my spouse is very much over qualified for any high demand job. It's just weird how things work there. But they don't consider that for our countries.

Even if there's a priority for in-demand jobs at least follow the processing timeline. I have sent series of webforms and emails with no response. I only see his webforms and emails on his GCMS notes lots of it haha. I wonder if i can send an email to them using a different email.

If u use a different email other than the one used for the application they will request for proof of representative to respond to the mail through that address

My fellows, honestly there is no rule. Th process is just random because two people can submit almost similar application on the same day. One will be treated within a very short time interval while the other can go for almost a year without response, One may get approval and the other rejection. Just do as much as possible as it lies within you to package a very compelling application but that is never a guarantee. Someone with less compelling applcation may get approval while the other rejection or response

If there are many keywords with no flag words in the entire application package, Chinook will recommend the file into Tier 1 (less complex) and the application get faster processing but when Chinnok categorise your file into Tier 2 (medium complex), you got to wait for VO's proper review and the decision here is 50-50. If your application is grouped into Tier 3, that one will also wait for VO's review and the refusal is higher in this category.

I came up with the theory of occupation being in demand because; myself, another nairalander and a friend in India got Provincial Nomination. Me and the other Nairalander are in IT and we got our work permit in 3weeks while the other Indian a store supervisor still waiting for his work permit after almost 6months.

Provincial is another ball game entirely. No body understand how they choose the file they work on in Nigeria.

Please can you shed more light on this Tier 1, 2 &3. What are those keywords and flag words?

Hmmmm, I just wonder! I applied a year ago and still waiting for a decision to be made. Our turn will surely come, by God's grace.

Abeg if I apply for study visa along side my husband and child, would the average processing time still be 13weeks or they would add the processing time for each application ?

The applicant will create their own GC key. You cannot use someone else's GCKey to apply, it is stated there

You can do either. Create a new GCkey for your spouse or start a new application for your spouse from your existing GCkey account.

Good evening, so in my own case I am the student and my hubby is the one who needs the sowp. Do you think it's okay if I have 4k in my account then 10k in my hubby's account?

I would suggest 10kCAd for spouse and 4k additional for additional family member. But the more money the better

Guys please ooo i am in a serious dilemma i applied for a SOWP for my spouse alongside VV for my two kids on the old portal since july last year. The application will be 45 weeks this week. Now becos of the long wait I applied for VV for my spouse and two kids on the new portal in march 2022. Now i just logged in to the old portal tonight and saw that my two sons visit visa has been withdrawn since may 2nd 2022 ( like they just wrote application withdrawn final decision) for the two kids and my spouse application for sowp is till there active. No eligibility review just background check in progress. The kids VV and that of my spouse on the new portal is still active too. There was no mail to inform of the withdrawal. Please what can i do. In my experience i have seen this.
Should I mail IRCC?
Please i need quick response my people. My head get lots of thinking of what happened and whats the way forward.

Maybe they have started to work on their applications, I have read on this platform people that have a similar issue with yours, having their application withdrawn from the old and gets approved on the new portal. I have a feeling your spouse's SOWP and kids' VV will be approved. So expect your good news soon.
