Arrant nonsense! The illegal’Loan companies’ that have permeated our economy without the appropriate legal backing, what have they done to them. Believe this and believe that another supposed blasphemer will still not be lynched unjustifiably.

Funny how you can draw comparisons with China to make your point but if Peter Obi did this same thing, you would be among those to call him Obi China…

Now to your argument, do you even understand that China is a Communist Country while Nigeria is Democratic and Capitalist Country?

Or you don’t understand the difference between Communism and Capitalism?

And to those Chinese companies doing well like you said, do you know why? Because they appoint the best brains to head them. They do not appoint based on quota system or due to some ethnic or primordial sentiments and consideration.

Again, in China, once you are convicted of corruption, you are executed publicly which makes the public officials accountable and transparent in dealing with those state owned companies.

Can your aboki senators agree to the introduction of death penalty for corruption in Nigeria?

Please always understand things clearly before putting your mouth into them.

The guy is making sense - this country needs a reset

We are heading nowhere - just rich getting richer and vice versa

Go and tell that to China who dominates the so called free market economy of the world with many products from pro establishment factories. Like they say in China, what matters is not how you caught the rat but that you caught the rat! Problem with your type is that you gobble everything line hook and sinker. China Telecom is almost owned by the Chinese security branch. The China Mobile, is almost totally owned by the same Chinese government. Chinese companies in Oil and Gas are wholly owned by The Chinese government! The China Bank and The China Bank of Commerce and Industry, are all state owned. CESCO that is the main indigenous Chinese shipping line is state owned! The list is endless and in every sector of the Chinese economy..And you know what?

All these companies are amongst the highest earners and top dogs in the Chinese economy. Do your research! Infact most of these real estate, chemicals, and trading companies that pretend to be private entities from China are nothing but state cooperations being privately managed by proxies in order to avoid WTO sanctions. This is why the The PLA is awash with cash year in year out, irrespective of the fact that the statutory budgetary allocations are many times smaller to say that of The US. If your problem in Nigeria is tribalism, fight to fix that, but don't use that argument to push for an economic agenda that only favors a tiny group of totally corrupt elite , while the majority of the people become poor spectators in the running of their countrys economy.
YOUR ARGUMENT WOULD BE PLAUSIBLE IF IT IS NOT BEING RELATED TO NIGERIA. SHOW ME A STATE OWNED ENTERPRISE (SOE) IN NIGERIA THAT IS WELL RUN. THE OPPOSITE IS THE CASE. INFACT, IN WHAT WOULD AMOUNT TO A WORLD FIRST, THE NNPC IS COMPLAINING OF OPERATIONAL DEFICIT IN AN ERA OF HIGH OIL PRICES. IF IT'S NOT FOR DIASPORA AND DIGITAL NOMAD EARNINGS AND TAXES , RATES, FEES, ETC ON PRIVATE ENTERPRISE THE NIGERIAN ECONOMY WOULD HAVE GONE BELLY UP LONG AGO.
AS FOR 'THE CORRUPT ELITE' YOU RIGHTLY LAMENT ABOUT MAY I, WITH ALL DUE RESPECT, AMEND THAT TO READ 'CORRUPT POLITICAL ELITE' WHOSE DELETERIOUS EFFECT ON THE COUNTRY IS A 1000× WORSE THAN THAT OF THE PRIVATE SECTOR. FINALLY, I FIND IT A TAD IRONIC THAT SOMEONE BASED IN OSAKA, JAPAN IS RHAPSODIZING ABOUT STATE CAPITALISM AKA CRONY CAPITALISM.

How can you use china as a yardstick for Nigeria where there's corruption 100%.

Who do you want to entrust these companies to manage?... quota system

Maybe you have been living under a rock, student are on strike because assu demand 4b while the person who is supposed to pay the 4b stole 80b.

Abeg dey use your akonuche when you dey talk.

If not for corruption and nepotism your idea is great by reality is it's a shitty idea

Nothing works in Nigeria except corruption nepotism.

China is not a communist state.

No country is.
CHINA IS OFFICIALLY A COMMUNIST STATE AND THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF CHINA IS THE RECOGNIZED POLITICAL PARTY. THIS DOESN'T, HOWEVER, NEGATE THE ARGUMENT THAT THE CHINESE GOVERNMENT MANAGES THEIR ECONOMY WITH A SERIOUSNESS THAT IS ALIEN TO THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT.

Another segment of the economy that needs to be nationalized as quick as possible! Some of these strategic areas need to be recalibrated in ways that allow the government to make money off them! The cement industry! The telecommunications industry! The betting industry! The solid minerals industry and ofcourse Oil and Gas! In some, government should go for half the stake in companys total equity! I don't see anything reasonably different that they're doing compared.

Some of these very lucrative aspects of the economy needs to be nationalized and handed over to some business boards being managed for the Army and police. That's how the security agencies in most countries fighting serious wars or facing serious enemies make more money away from meager budgetary allocations.

Some totally brainwashed black people will come over here to start quoting all sorts of regurgitated bullshit about free trade and privatisation. Go and tell that to China.. Ask them to tell you how to raise extra monies to fund the on going wars and they will go silent! Ask them to show you the added reinvestments in other strategic areas of the economy by these rent seekers parading around as prime investors, who got all these business permits from the Nigerian government for pittance but only uses the mega proceeds and profits to buy mansions in Dubai and London, they will keep quiet!
Nationalized for what.

You want to nationalize a private business ?

If they are illegal close then down no need for nationalization that is fraud in itself.

Govt business is providing roads health facilities electricity water etc

He forgot the fact that China isn't Nigeria, where corruption, nepotism, tribalism is celebrated. Where instead of convicting corrupt individuals and handing a severe punishment to them, they are rather celebrated and promoted.

Firstly, most of what you wrote here is scrap to me. You don't understand China as a Country and Chinese Cultural, Political and Economic system.

I think the problem is the South West with a very complex and unorganized people. I don't know how South West can be organized. The problem in South West is even complicated with religious and political dichotomies.

Gbajabiamila has to survive as the head of NLRC.

The VAT battle between FG and Rivers with Lagos on the sideline is also similar to the tussle between NLRC and Lagos State Lottery Board few years back before Mamora became National Lottery Board Chairman.

98% of the so called Betting companies are in Lagos. The good thing is that Gbajabiamila with knowledge of both State and National Lottery Boards should be able to handle matters effectively.

You are bringing the issue of China a Communist State to Nigeria. I don't blame you, it is the Yorubas that give your type the audacity to bring nonsense to the political space of Southern Nigeria.

You don't know much about China.

So, Nigeria government through DSS should be running MTN, Airtel & Globacom after Nitel (Mtel) failed? They should be running air lines, Shipping lines, Cement companies, banks etc. They should appoint board members to run them and loot the money as it was done under military. It is the Yorubas that give you the courage for all these suggestions.

My suggestion for National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) is to mandate the licensed betting companies to include any one NPFL matches to stake in their games ticket, this will boost our local league in Nigeria.
