That would be a masterstroke.

I pray he’s the presidential candidate

And not running mate.

An Obi/Kwankwaso ticket would be a bomb
You people overestimate your political relevance. Kwakwanso spent years and fortunes building his party and you all expect a political lightweight to migrate from his party because of his inferiority complex and take total control of the party's structure? Una too dey Jones, I swear. A typical Kwakwanso understands that the moment he allows such political suicide, he will lose control of the party due to you all's tendencies and also amount to waste of efforts and resources.
The best bet right now for the SE is to go learn 'Politics' 101 which will teach them how to build bridges rather than creating enemies

A man who refuses to own 3 pairs of shoes or buy a car for his 30yr old son is not likely to want to pay $10,000 per delegate that likely wont vote for him. I think when it came to paying for delegates, the reality that he isnt going to win dawned on him and Obi is not for wasting money!!

.........of course he didnt mind when it was Atiku paying for delegates.
Exactly.

This politics of delegates is also a very worrisome one because it means if the delegates get it wrong with their choice the populace has no choice but to flow with the tide

People talk of structure.Jonathan lost with all PDP structures.Obi WS VP to Atiku yet they lost to Buhari with all their structures

He didn't miscalculate. Discerning and sagacious politicians, or even electorates, are always able to tell the direction the election result will swing before the election proper. I commend him and OUK for their actions so far, even though he acted a bit late.
If this was Tinubu, you all will forget this your analytical senses and begin to yarn dust. But because it is Obi now, you all suddenly begin dey get sense. Una never see anything, 2023 has already eluded you guys with that Obi's action

Whether miscalculated or calculated he's the next president of Nigeria .Wherever he goes, we'll all vote him massively. We Nigerians can't afford to loose this golden opportunity.
Stop this weed you are taking. Day dreaming every time about Obi.

Nigeria desperately needs a messiah, Nigerians have prayed for a messiah for years..

Obi/Kwankwaso 2023 might take a major bite. I pray it does…

Nobody believed APC prior 2015, it happened!

Expect major deflection to NNPP in the coming days..

The wave will be massive!!!!

Believe.

I’m so confused right now, Abeg God! Obi is my last hope for a working Nigeria! Abeg baba God!
You spoke my mind, Let the cries and pains of Nigerians get to God's heart so he can move e non living and living things in favor of Nigerians come 2023

They will still lose woefully. presidential election is more of structures rather than only candidate.

Where will they get the structure?
People too dey reason low.....
As Far Nigerian politics is concerned... APC and PDP is the only party that has the political structure and architecture to bring a candidate into power.. other political parties are just fighting for recognition....
If you are not the presidential candidate of either APC or PDP... just wave goodbye to your presidential ambition...
Re: Resignation From PDP: Has Peter Obi Miscalculated? by Lovelive: 9:26pm On May 25, 2022
You talk too much of grammar.

Know the truth and its shall set you free.

Even APC is not popular as you may think now.

Tinubu camp will never vote for any APC candidate if he fails to secure his candidature.

And if peradventure Tinubu wins many Nigerians won't vote for him.

So . . .
Now you know.

casualobserver:
People should try to comment with a bit of intelligence. Peter Obi candidacy was always a long shot, PDP overcoming APC (whoever the candidate may have been) was always going to be an uphill task. What he has done if he intends to contest on another platform is to split PDP votes, peter Obi is very popular (whether he ever had enough votes to win even in PDP is debatable but what is certain now is that he will take away votes from people who would have voted PDP but will not have enough votes in another party to win. Common sense should tell anyone that!!! The net result will be his paew party wont get enough votes and PDP will have less votes thus aiding an APC victory....unless they themselves self implode

The most stupid thing he could ever have done but then, he has a record of jumping from one party to another. I have personally not bought into the whole Peter Obi narrative and rhetoric. Ask his fans to tell you what exactly his legacy in Anambra is and they cant point to anything besides the education ranking went up during his tenure. What exactly is his signature infrastructure project, nobody can answer, they talk about prudence but is it not the money he supposedly saved that Obiana has now chopped, would Anambrans have been better off if he left the state in debt but left behind infrastructure he can pint to? I keep telling people all this talk of "i saved money", to what end? nobody elected you to save they elected you to spend wisely on infrastructure. A man who thinks it is a thing to be proud of that his 30 yr old son doesnt have a car, abeg if the 30yr old son of a billionaire has not been raised well enough to buy his own car you have failed as a father!! All we ever hear from him is "I have 2 shoes", "in japan", in morocco, in china etc etc...when you were in govt what did you do....nothing!!! Under himthe IGR of Anambra went down!!!

if you actually put the man under a microscope he is nothing but hot air!!!
Re: Resignation From PDP: Has Peter Obi Miscalculated? by dochenaj: 9:28pm On May 25, 2022
I had always known that Obi has a better shot at winning the presidential election than winning the PDP primaries.

That definitely says something. He should have seen that earlier.

And he must savour his chances that he doesn't want to consider being a VP and he shouldn't.

Re: Resignation From PDP: Has Peter Obi Miscalculated? by Connected1: 9:29pm On May 25, 2022
LegendHero:
No you are not correct. Peter Obi and Kwakwanso are political lightweights and they have no structure to win a national election.

Do you know why APC defeated PDP in 2015? It is because Buhari and Tinubu that forged alliance have their structures automatically transported to the new party.

—Tinubu suddenly came with almost 6 governors to the new party and a zone with the second most highest voter turnout.

—Buhari comes with his ANPP and constant 10million voters who cut across all core Northern states. The region with the highest voter turnout.

As it stands today, both Kwakwanso and Peter Obi don’t have any state they control. They don’t have governors they can influence who are moneybags and structure bags.

Don’t tell me about social media followers, I am taking about real election and structure.
Just say winning an election is not by voting.

Why typing here and there, Nawa oh.

Scram, get out of my mention and look for your fellow small-minded elements to engage in pettiness, unless you can prove that I am your fellow tribalist. One common feature that sententious, ethnocentric, hypocritical, disingenuous, and opportunistic elements like you have is a psychological projection attribute.

For a record, I have neither identify with Peter Obi nor any presidential aspirant before, and have nothing against Tinubu, or anyone regardless of where they are coming from, even though I have always maintained that where fairness in particular and politics of principle and conviction in general take precedence over primordial sentiments in particular and politics of expediency in general that the next president of Nigeria ought to come from the South East, citing the existing arrangements prior to now. The same school of thought every fair and sane person has identified with.

He is probably going to NNPP.

What I now don't know is who will be the VP or Presidential candidate between him and Kwakwanso.

If Kwakwanso will be the Presidential candidate & Obi VP; Then Obi is a big fool because he would have had more chance with being VP to Atiku in PDP.

If Obi will be the presidential candidate and Kwakwanso the VP; Then I like that even tho they will still lose the election. But at least he made a statement.

Only that the Kwakwanso I know will not be VP to Obi Pandora.
Shut yo ass up

My battery is weak else I will school you on the possibilities staring all of us in the face.

If the electoral act had permitted, independent candidature, you would have told me that the phenomenon of independent candidates winning elections is alien.

Nigeria of today is a polarized society... anything is possible.

Stop living in the past...
You funny die! Even in the United States, how many independent candidates have won a national election?
