Only1zizi:First of all, you need to secure admission, have your admission letter and pay tuition deposit if any. After taking care of admission, it's time to apply for your visa. With your 10m, you are financially sufficient to apply for study visa if you don't choose expensive courses. If you do everything the way it should be done, chances of getting visa approval is high. No one can guarantee visa. Kindly take note. |

Hello Azedolf This is not the pre-assessment notes though but with the look of this, it should be easy to tackle, work on your sponsor(change from company's account, IRCC always have issues with it especially if the applicant and the said sponsor are not convincing enough about the availability of funds).. So if you know you won't be able to convince the Visa officer of the use of company's account, then you know what to do.. if you do your homework well, you should get your Visa in your re-application.. Peace Azedolf: |

Hello Only1 I actually laughed reading the bolded, no one can guarantee you Visa my brother.. Even when applicants contact me that they want Visa cos of what they have heard about me, I tell them I am not a Visa officer that give Visa.. The best I can do for your application is to handle your application to the best of my knowledge and expertise, and I pray on every application I work on (Yes, I don't joke with prayers) and all glory to God he has been giving me results which is very visible everywhere, including here.. So nobody can assure Visa, dnt be deceived by all these road side agents... I repeat, no one can assure you of Visa.. Just do your best and commit everything to God by praying about it and see what happens.. This has been working for me (I am giving you one of my secrets for free), it can work for you.. Peace Only1zizi: |

Good evening good people , Please I just completed my application online with all the required documents and I tried to pay but keep declining the transaction ( Dollar card ) . After trying again it says my application is on process but my account has not yet been debited yet and the "Action key" doesn't have any status of my application . Please what does it mean ? Is that normal

The story won’t be convincing to the VO tbh. It’s cut and join somehow and the VO would assume the money won’t be available for your studies in Canada and it’s only for demonstrative purpose. I’ll advise you don’t involve a third party at all. Sponsorship from two family is enough, don’t add family friend again. It doesn’t sound convincing. That’s my opinion tho. Let gurus in the house contribute. I wish you all the best. tosynn007: |

larryking540:Getting a professional job after graduation, especially for masters and PGD graduates can be a little challenging due to lack of "Canadian experience" (meaning: not a good fit) or lack of a persevering spirit. The IT, data science, and computer science industry was booming for the last two years. However, higher interest rates is crushing them and the economy into recession lately. The best course to do is that which you have some experience or interest in. You may want to aviod anything oil and gas because it's current price and industry recovery may not be sustainable in the long-term. When you get a student or work visa and enter, network with industry people, particularly Nigerians, working in your field to show you how they do it. The sooner you do it, the earlier you start to prepare yourself and your mind to persevere and be a good fit for your potential companies. |

Azedolf:I see you have received many opinions on the way forward. I find it disturbing that Blessed451, with less than 1 month and 3 pages posting on nairaland, is advising you reapply without GCMS note. Please always check people's experience, validated by active post on nairaland, before following their advise. Experience counts over dem say dem say. Be careful of older members too because some knowledge or experience are outdated. I will listen to people that have 2-5 years of recent and active posting or at least show they have been reading the thread for that long. All the best. |

A part of the application form asks when you expect to arrive Canada and the date to leave. For someone who gets a 1 yr pgd admission with an intention to immediately start another one year or 2 year masters plus 2 years work permit. How is the date to leave calculated in this case or what date should be filled in the expected date to leave session? Thanks |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by kweje: 10:10pm On May 26, 2022 |
Senorita123:Hello Senorita123. The dates to fill is what is stated in your offer letter (start date and end date, if no end date, calculate 1 yr from the start date). This is your purpose of visit. Your intentions to stay longer na for your mind for now. When you get in, you can apply for another course and and extension of study permit which leads to your work permit. All the best. |

Dear Gurus, Please I need your advice. I put up a property for sale, hoping to use the proceeds to fund my study in Canada. However, Admission came out before the sale was concluded with just about N2m in my account. I intend paying the full fees for first Semester and having another 10,000CAD in GIC for upkeep and still have about 10m in my account by the time of application. Please what are my chances since its a lump sum or do I defer the admission till Winter? Its a 2 year programme starting next fall. |
