Hello everyone, I got an email from Ontario saying that they needed added documents and that I should check my profile for further information. Login into my profile it was checked green saying that no additional document is needed. Do I need to do anything or should I just wait. Thanks

What matters really is your Job description outlined in the reference letter matching whatever NOC you chose and your reference letter coming out in the required format. So ensure that everything matches then it can fly and your Supervisor does not need company letterhead. what he needs is to write on plain paper a reference letter as your supervisor stating JD, annual or monthly salary, hours worked per week etc. They should sign and include contact info on the letter as well as a copy of their work ID card ( i assume they still have even though they no longer work for the org).

NSE19:
This wait is so long!!!!

I worked in a company for 1 year and 9 months. I joined as a graduate trainee ( this was supposed to be for 11 months but due to COVID was extended to 1 year and 1 month unofficially). During my GT rotation, I mostly worked with Strategy team and after the GT program, i became a Strategy Analyst.

Late last year when I reached out to HR, I was told my reference letter would carry
Graduate trainee May 20xx-June 2020 and Strategy Analyst May 2020 - December 2020 ( the dates are for demo)
Strategy Analyst January 20xx - December 20xx

My supervisor said he would give me a letter with
Graduate trainee (Strategy Analyst) May 20xx-Jan 20xxx
Strategy Analyst Feb 20xx -june 20xx

Last night, I found out that my former supervisor has left the organisation.

My question is how do I make this Graduate Trainee Role Fly?
Is there anything my former supervisor can do given he does not have access to the companies letterheaded paper?

I really want to look back at this post and say truly, there was light at the end of the tunnel.

Hello, thank you for your response.

Any idea what to do if he does not have his ID Card? We ususally submit our ID cards when we leave.

Yellowmellow:

He can use normal paper but also attach a copy of his ID card. Then you’d follow it up with an loe.

Thank you Dimple.

My supervisor does not have his IDcard anymore. What would you suggest?

If as a PA my spouse has a child before marriage but I have not been in the child’s life because they said “it’s not my concern, I’m not biologically related to the child so I should face my own kids” How do I handle this in my Canada application? I presently only have my personal savings as POF for my immediate family of 5, I don’t know if the child has identity documents and will be available for medicals even if I add as unaccompanying.

I am just worried about the child’s future but at the same time, I don’t want to jeopardize my application and my children’s future if I add and they can’t provide documents. I don’t even know the child’s full name, my spouse is not carrying me along in this and becomes aggressive if I bring it up. I have all required documents with a good CRS, French speaker and I am just waiting for draws to start in July.

I am also worried if it will be seen as misrepresentation if I do not mention the child in my application. I need this japa like yesterday sef, help me dissect this matter I beg.
Hi. Please, mention the child whilst filing your forms. The child is your spouse's and there's a section post ita where you and your spouse will list your family members(immediate) even if the child isnt coming with you. If you dont,Canada wont recognize the child as your spouse's in future when its time to establish relationship for immigration purpose. No one knows tomorrow.

1. You as the PA, you're not obligated the mention the child since the child isn't yours and you didn't adopt said child. Had it been your spouse was the PA, they'd be obligated to mention the child in the application. It isn't misrepresentation.

2. In as much as you have a kind heart, sometimes it is best to let things be and watch them unfold. I wish you all the best.
this is not true. They are obligated to declare the child. A Nigerian couple was deported back to Nigeria at point of entry because of this some years ago they had to add the child in Nigeria before they could come back. Not mentioning the child too means the father can’t sponsor the child to Canada later

the child is a dependent of your husband. If you dont declare your husband can’t sponsor the child in future plus if caught you could be sent back to Nigeria to rectify it. There was a story of a Nigerian couple ( cant find the link again). Husband was PA . Wife had a child before marriage whose father is raising the child, she does not provide any finance for the child as the father is sorting it. They then decided she is not a dependent. At point of entry the officer was gisting with her about her pregnancy. Madam said this is her second pregnancy they then asked where is the first, they checked the system and could not find it. They were sent back to Nigeria. The child had to be added and medicals done before they were reissued copr.

I received something like this too when I was doing mine. You do not need to take any action if you did not see any request for documents.

Please after receiving ITA how do applicants from Nigeria pay when submitting application for PR.

The Usual debit cards aren't working.

Hello, thank you for all your contributions on this site. My brother got the ‘ready for visa’ email yesterday so I guess good news.

For mine, I’m awaiting the July 2022 draws and I’d like some clarification. I came into Canada through study permit and now I’m on a work permit. When I apply for the FSW pathway in July, I want to use an employment history different from what I filled when I applied for a study visa. I hope it won’t matter ? Thank you so much

It matters. I’ve seen cases where they dug up old application details and asked people to explain how they were able to work at two places at the same time

They use dollar cards linked to their dom accounts or you can get a virtual dollar card eg barter by flutterwave

apply for gcms notes of the study visa application. Providing conflicting info equals representation and they will nab you

Thanks for sharing this timeline. I am not used to using DHL for anything but every time i check how long it will take to deliver document to Accra from Lagos they give me an estimate of 4 days or more online. Any recommendation or specific dhl office or way to get shorter delivery time ?

Kindly put me through on what is entailed so that we can have a serious family discussion about this and determine the way forward. I am ready to add as unacompanying if I get the nod.

1. What are the requirements for adding the child as unaccompanying? DEFINITELY POF AND MEDICALS WILL BE REQUIRED EVEN THOUGH UNACCOMPANYING
2. What documents would be needed for the child while submitting my application after ITA? BIRTH CERTIFICATE, INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT, NAME/DOB PLUS RESPONSE ABOVE.
3. Do I need to increase POF to family of 6 instead of my immediate family of 5 as already declared in my EE profile? YES
4. Is the mother’s consent required at any point?
Anyone that is familiar with the subject matter should please help with suggestions. YES UNLESS YOU SUBMIT SOME FORM OF PROOF THAT YOU TRIED ALL YOU COULD TO GET THE CHILD TO BE A PART OF THE PROCESS. I THINK A LEGAL DOCUMENT WORKS HERE TOO. THAT WAY THE CHILD GET EXCLUDED FROM THE APPLICATION TOTALLY AT THE OFFICER’s DISCRETION

Thank you

Goodluck to you and yours

It doesn’t matter if the company decides to write graduate trainee as long as the job details are the same with your noc. E.g the noc I claimed is for managers but my job title didn’t have manager in it. Imo you have to have a good reason (which you’ll explain to IRCC in a LOE) for not providing WE letter in the required format and you don’t have a good reason. Get the letter from your office people, it makes your application much simpler.

Thanks for this. Please do you know if it's same for transit? Say I use BA and have to transit in UK, gov.uk seems to suggest otherwise but trying to find out if anyone has actually been through this

If you transit through heathrow then no you do not need a transit visa but any transit outside heathrow (eg. gatwick) you need a transit visa.

AOR - Dec 3 2020
Biometrics - Jan 13, 2021
RPRF request - Feb 2, 2021
RPRF submitted - Feb 4, 2022
ADR (Medicals, PCC, schedule A)- Feb 9, 2022
Medicals passed - March 14, 2022
PPR - May 26th
VO - ACCRA visa office

Thank you to everyone who shares here. You kept my spirit up on the down days..
speedy PPR to everyone still waiting

I have a question please - My Spouse's Nigerian passport expires in 5months. Can we submit it like that? or do we need to wait for the new one which we are working on to be issued? Has anyone submitted a passport with less than 6 months expiration date? did it fly.
Thank you
