I haven't been to either of these countries but the feedback I receive from my friends over there points to the fact that it's much harder in UK. Blacks hardly have good jobs in UK. My classmate who is a Mechanical Engineer and also has another degree in UK don't have a job in UK. In addition, he is a citizen of UK. So, how are you guys coping over there?

You need to understand that the American culture is different from the Nigerian culture where the MAN bears the burden alone...most times.

In the US, the govt supports and majority of their women are adequately empowered to cater for their kids as well.

My educational background is in mental health, worked in Psychiatric facilities outside Nigeria and relocated to the UK to do my specialty in clinical child psychology, which is a skill in the shortage list and so far it has been rewarding work-wise....in future when I get my certification as a Play therapist, it doubles the income but for now, I have no reason to complain.

If one has a degree in Psychology in Nigeria, he/she has more chances in the UK than one with the degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Graduate with at least a Second class upper in Psychology, get the graduate membership of the British Psychological Society as that would qualify you to work as an assistant psychologist in the UK. That Psychology degree can also qualify you to work as a SEN (Special Education Needs) teaching assistant, where you get assist a child special needs in the classroom, work starts 8.30a.m and ends 3.30p.m Monday to Friday and if recruited through an agency, the pay is between £350-£500 weekly and can do other jobs over the weekend as side hustle.

There is also the option of working in a mental health facility, that should be earning one who works full time a minimum of £900 weekly depending on the position.

a truck driver in Europe earns more than a doctor in Africa annually.. u can Google it.. let me not mention inter country truck drivers especially in North America.. however they usually don’t av a stable relationship because of the long hauling hours ., usually partners enjoy their wealth.. as it may .

Also, please truck drivers don't even make up to $90k per year and even if that is a possibility it is still very rare.

They could make anywhere between $39k to $60k tho so no matter how you try to rationalize this , he's still isn't capable of giving those kids a proper life
