Hello House, in Birmingham, is a student's dependent liable to pay council tax or will be exempted just like the student?

Exempted.

Write a letter to the council, stating you're a student and attach proof of student record, copy of dependant brp and passport.

Thanks for the tip.

But the context Paki. Is just as it is to me saying "9ja" or "whitee" or "brits"
No racial whatever in mind. Just slangs.

Big chief, I kindly will appreciate some of ur wisdom on investment opportunities I could do with in the uk, like buying stocks and more.. particular thinking of stock investment and all.

The market is very bearish at the moment....... Probably the best time to hop in ........ Bear in the mind, the dip always gets deeper.........

Loads of regulated platforms available, to dip your toes, in the deep...... grin

You can have a combined investment pattern of a SIPP account, running along side a GIA situation......... smiley

Why is gym membership kind of expensive. The average I'm seeing is about £40 monthly. I was looking for something in the range of £15-20/month.

Good evening house,

I got this in the mail and was little confused as at no point did I contact or sign up for this service. Moreover, they claim to have setup a direct debit. My question now is, am I not expected to authorise or confirm a service before a DD can’t be setup on my bank account?

Anyone familiar with this please?

I’m 1000% sure I never signed up for this. I don’t have a car and I’m sure I’d probably remember if I did speak to an insurance rep. I’ve gone ahead to respond to the mail requesting for a TOTAL cancellation of whatever service they’ve got setup in my name.

Thanks

Morning all.

My landlord is behaving like an igbo man though pakistani.
It's been 3wks since we moved into this 3bed rm @750pcm minus bills.
The landlord aquirred the property barely 1month before letting out. .
Initially he didn't want to deal directly with us so he handed the key to the property to one 9ja man who gave us the place and stood for us due to credit check ish.
During our 3wks of stay it's been from one fault finding to another. It was obvious that the Paki rented the house as soon as he bought it.
We always call the 9ja man to complain but at a point I felt I was giving the man stress and the moment I got the phone contact of the landlord it's been a case of direct calls to him.
One of the instances I called to report boiler issue he was acting reluctant not responding to calls.
My wife and I walked straight to his door (he lives 4 houses away from ours) and told him some friendly words in 9ja tone. I further mentioned to him that I work at the council and can report him to housing dept if he continues with these stunt.
Omo, paki has been up and doing since then o.
Bought new boiler and installed.
Due to the installation, the heater in the palour was disconnected coz it's old and cannot function with the settings of the new boiler. Plus the radiator in one of the rooms leaks water.
It's been 1wk since he installed the boiler.
By next week I will start fresh heat on him..
.

So, which part of your story shows him behaving like an Igbo man?
Or you carried stereotypes into Youukay?

How's work and family, everyone? smiley

Please what network is advised for a sim contract to boost credit rating?

An idea of the cost will also be helpful. EE sim-only contract rates are somewhat high.

I currently use Lebara, but I read somewhere that Lebara and a few other networks aren't apt for credit score building.

Thanks

Three sim only is around £15 unlimited everything

It says you have 14 days to cancel so better do that make sure you do that and get it confirmed in writing. Also check your bank accounts for any unauthorised direct debits and cancel pronto!! I presume you have internet banking?

Apart from gumtree and Facebook market place, where can one find used home furniture/mattress to buy, especially in Sunderland?
Check Shelters at City Centre, they could be quite expensive though. British Heart Foundation is very good too.

Time to check your credit report....... Call up your credit file. ........
