Due to this Windows Error Recovery issue the HP laptop I use, formerly a windows 7 Home Premium was formatted. No backup. After the format I found it in windows 7 Professional, any known risk?
Again, the issue now is whenever i try to check windows update it doesn't work whereas it did work some weeks ago before the 'Great Format'.
Please is there any hope? I'll appreciate a chance to make it work.

You can't get any recent updates on windows 7 ,I'm suspecting the windows 7 professional is up to date, that's why you're not getting any update.

Windows is installed on my system, but sometimes; when I switch on my system, it says "no OS detected on your system" and I have to manually log into the BIOS and change the boot order, then I'll be asked to input a certain 4 digit number and press enter, everything will go back to normal. I can't keep doing this everytime. How do I fix this issue of my system not detecting Windows?

Win 10 has more background services. Turn off the background services and run either balanced or power saver mode for your battery settings.

I think I will go back to window 7.

How much RAM does your system have? And do you know the spec of the processor?

Not really. I wanted you to access the BIOS so you can run a HDD test to see if the problem is really the HDD or to open the laptop to check the HDD cable.

Win10 allows installation on 4gb RAM but it is not ideal at all and your CPU is not ideal for Win 10 too. Go back to 7 is my recommendation.

windows 10 consumes much battery. even worser if you uses a ddr2 ram older Systems, that is not recommended for windows 10

My acer aspire v5 573 suddenly went off and won't turn on again. I have tried holding down the power button for 30 seconds but it still won't turn on. Tried charging it too but it's not charging( the led lights ain't coming up)

Step 1... Remove the battery
Step 2... Plug in the laptop
Step 3... Press and hold down the power button for 5 seconds...

Step 4... Put the battery back in the system and switch it on

It is an inbuilt battery, I can't remove it.

I always advise my clients to have back up and also use paid antivirus.

It's either you pay or you format,it is always difficult to remove ransomware virus.
