I agree but not this generation of Nigerian women. They are too far gone with that mentality. The younger ones, it is possible. They are some Nigerian women that don't have that mentality but they are rare/exception. Those ones have already been snapped up by smart guys.

It's not just about the Nigerian economy. Nigerians often use poverty as an excuse for their excessive materialistic behaviour when it's just greed. Malians, Nigeriens, Chadians, Burundians are poor but they aren't as entitled as Nigerian women. As you very well know, Nigerian women abroad are also materialistic. Many of these ladies work so what's their own excuse. The problem is greed. They have been culturally imbibed to not contribute anything to a relationship but take. Even some of the men support this. Look at that dude that was arguing with you. Imagine a man justifying spending on women as part of his culture?
