Hello guys, how long does it normally take to get ''verification completed'' email after lawyer's visit? My wife did her interview in November 2021, was contacted by Ausländerbehörde to submit documents also in November. Lawyer came for verification in March this year but we haven't gotten a feedback since then.

My wife’s employer used a German relocation agency to process her visa application. We requested that she booked our appointments under the fast track skilled immigrant visa which would allow us travel together. Her employer also confirmed they are willing to cover the expenses for both our relocation.

She has gotten an appointment date for my wife but insists that there is a 6 to 8 months waiting time to get an appointment for me.

My question is, can we ask her to start the whole process again so she can get a closer appointment date for the both of us? Is it possible to cancel and reprocess a visa application?

I went for my appointment on April and next month will make it 2months, still I have not heard from the embassy or the lawyer � its so painful ��� after waiting for one years before the appointment, now na another waiting again.

We had our own interview in November, ausländerbehörde sent for me in February, the lawyer came in March, I mailed last month to ask how far they said they are still not done with verification.

So unfortunately the waiting game just entered phrase two. Just use the time to be learning something that would be useful to you if not the wait can kill someone

Her old passport number will appear on her new passport, so that solves the passport number issue. Let her swear affidavit of change of name at a high court. She should also do a newspaper publication for her change of name. In the newspaper publication, she can even mention "German Consulate lagos and the general public ", this should solve the name issue. Let her go with both passports. The new passport should be out before then. You can also push for it with a token.

Should I apply for skilled immigration act visa with my pre-approval or blue card visa ? ( I qualify for it ). What visa will I apply for my wife? family reunion? or skilled migration act? I learnt that if a spouse qualifies for a blue card, then there won't be a need to write the Germany A1 exam or do lawyer verification. Does this mean that if I don't apply for blue card visa, she will need to write A1 exam and do lawyer verification?

No bro. It's not compulsory at all. The pre-approval only makes the process faster in terms of appointment date and Visa issuance. Also you family can accompany you at the same time.
