If you don't want her to wait for a year. I would advise you get married and also try to get your employer to help you get the documents for pre-approval (under the skilled immigration act) that way you can book an appointment for her at the same time as yours. Some recent changes to the EU blue card even allows family reunification at the same time as the blue card applicant but I am not sure if the changes are in place yet. Hi everyone,
Please I would like to clarify a bugging question. My wife’s interview would likely come up in July/August as we booked July 2021. In the meantime, she did change of name and her current passport expired in April. She already did capturing for a new passport but we were told file had to be sent to Abuja for approval before passport could be printed. Hopefully we can have this resolved in time and please if you have any link for fast tracking such cases, kindly let me know.

My immediate question is in a case where we can’t get the new passport before her interview, could she still attend with the expired passport? Seeing as the German visa is not issued on interview date and she can send in the data page of the new one after and also present it for Visa provision when it’s time.

Any experience from anyone would be appreciated? Anxiety don wan kill person abeg.

I'm sorry, I don't have the links handy right now but if you go through this thread, you will find the appointment booking link and also the link to the VISA application forms.
Time for an appointment varies and it's not constant. However, you should be able to get an appointment within a month of booking and a response within a month also, it could be earlier or later.

Yes, my friend got a mail from the embassy on 13th of May, but her interview is next month, so it all depends on the date you booked your appointment.

The salary is about 70k PA. I have my first degree in Microbiology, but I'm not sure if this qualifies for a blue card application and approval.

good morning ��the only thing that will solve this issue is to go to the court and get affidavit, no need of getting newspaper publication, affidavit is far better.

You will need to swear an affidavit for the correction/omission of name…

Better still u can shun the birth certificate for now and just use Age declaration for the process …..
