Only the enemies of Buhari and APC will keep hammering on insecurity. Buhari has done well in other areas like Education, Economy, Rule of Law, Agriculture and Infrastructure. Let’s give him kudos |

APC and PDP inept leadership institutionalized these crimes in Nigeria. Nigeria needs to be rescued from APC and PDP; Nigeria needs to be rescued from violent criminals. 1 Like

The commercial drivers should go on one week strike. I also suspect some of the drivers are working for the kidnappers because in some cases, you will hear that the driver escaped. All soldiers on road blocks every 100m in the south should be redeployed to the north. That is where they are needed. 1 Like |

Terrorists have kidnapped an unspecified number of motorists along Kuriga and Manini, near Udawa, along Birnin-Gwari-Kaduna highway on Monday. Ibrahim Abubakar Nagwari, Chairman, Brinin-Gwari Vanguards for security and good governance, in a statement on Monday, explained that, “Today 31st May, 2022, terrorists along Birnin-Gwari-Kaduna highway intercepted a convoy of motorists, with security escorts between Kuriga and Manini near Udawa.” He said they abducted an unspecified number of people and took them into the bush.” He further explained that, “in the last four days, terrorists laid siege on motorists on Birnin-Gwari-Kaduna highway, abducting as well as killing and wounding many innocent citizens, yet our people are reduced to silent mode with no reportage of the ugly situation nor any move by the authorities to show concern on the deteriorating security around Birnin-Gwari-Kaduna highway,” he lamented. There's no independent media in Nigeria. The media is very biased, very corrupt, bought and sold and only caters to the government that pays them. So, if you're relying and waiting on the media to inform the general public of the real situation in the country, you might have to wait till eternity. Nigerian media is the worst around the globe. They have no honor and integrity, hence they are referred to as the brown envelope journalists and Zoo gutter media. |

Why should this surprise us? From the time the FG paid kidnappers to free the victims the door opened for a kidnapping industry. Why stick up and rob travellers when a whole lot more money can be made by kidnapping them? Sorry for the rich ... only Heaven knows what the houseboy is planning with outsiders. |

Imagine the audacity? Taking over a major highway and kidnapping in broad day light with impunity?? Sadly, this is what Northerners should come out en-masse to protest against However, opposite is always the case in this country.. |

Can't the Kaduna State government and its neighbouring state government empower an armed policing force, like Amtoekun, to guard those roads. |

iwaeda: Peter Obi cannot perform any magic ! Obi is a "ONE NIGERIA" who naively believes he can use his economic managerial skills to steer things aright for Nigeria. The way he went about congratulating Atiku, whom he should call out for buying the PDP reminds me of Zik who some deluded Nigerians still like to refer to as "de-tribalized" despite the never ending horrendous consequence of his belief in one Nigeria. Obi is not the only one, the Southern politician who should all be shouting RESTRUCTURING/DEVOLUTION OF POWER now are blinded by dollar and what they personally stand to gain. If another fulani somehow manage to enter Aso rock in 2023, common sense will return rather quickly, then they will start shouting RESTRUCTURING/DEVOLUTION OF POWER but it will be too late -the country has entered another "one chance". |
