Good day bosses, Please I need a roadmap to follow for applying for study permit and CAQ. I am confused about the whole process. I have been offered admission by Concordia University and my program start date is 5th of sept. I know the next steps to take to complete my admission are; 1. Pay acceptance fee 2. Send my official transcript to the school 3. Apply for study permit and CAQ I can get step 1 and 2 done easily, but for step 3, I only know the process for US. I have read through the first page, but it ended up confusing me more. PLEASE house I need a guide or roadmap on the steps to take in order to apply for study permit and CAQ. |

Goodday Guys!! I am the one the Lord has shown mercy on this glorious day Kindly join me in thanking the King of Kings & Lord of Lords who made today possible despite how I almost lost faith With Jesus joy, I announce to that I have received my PPR!!! Second time applicant God is too faithful to leave us, just trust in him & you won’t regret it. I join my faith with everyone still expecting & declare we shall all testify of God’s goodness soonest (Ps: I had the above saved in my notes in faith before even getting PPR) I also remember posting sometime in May about receiving PPR before the end of the month & nothing happened, little did I know God had other plans PPR landed June 1st, 2022, however; I didn’t know about it till June 3rd, 2022. Timeline below First Application; Applied Nov 22nd, 2021 Upfront Medicals : April 3rd, 2021 Updated to pass: No idea (didn’t have access to my portal) Eligibility review: No idea (didn’t have access to my portal) Breakfast of life lol: March 23,2022 Reason for refusal: ‘I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, based on personal assets and financial assets’ I cried my eyes out & almost lost all hope, called my agent to ask for a way forward and if I should stop attending classes & defer the remaining semesters. The thought of the time, energy & money spent made the tears roll out well P.s- I had resumed classes online (started January, 2022),it hasn’t been a funny situation especially with the time difference & economy issues but I thank God & I am currently in my second semester in centennial college. It’s a 2years program. *Back to my timeline gist* After careful review of my previous application, it was spotted that my Dad’s account(my sponsor) had an explained lump sum of about 13m that entered at once. So we knew where to tackle while waiting for my GCMS notes. Things I did differently; Gave a detailed LOE of the lump sum Printed a new bank statement, this time the opening balance covered the lump sum with more inflow compared to the last statement I paid my full tuition for the first year Got a notarized gift of deed of 5m in my personal account Submitted my first semester Academic transcript Added a lot of Prayers too (very important) Second Application: Submitted April 10, 2022 Eligibility review started: May 11, 2022 PPR: June 1st, 2022 I have also booked for a new Medicals since the previous one has expired to avoid immigration stories/wahala, I was surprised I didn’t get a medical request with my second application. The feeling has been surreal, patiently waiting for my passport because I don’t even know where to start from, any suggestions will be appreciated. |

Balina:To obtain a Study Permit, you may need to first obtain a CAQ if you're going to be schooling in Quebec. You must find out whether or not you need one depending on your situation. Hence, after taking the first and second steps you have mentioned above, the next is obtaining CAQ. To obtain a CAQ https://www.quebec.ca/en/education/study-quebec/temporary-selection-studies |

Niaso:1. Post Baccalaureate Diploma is an undergraduate qualification meant to prepare a student for masters. (Source: https://calendar.carleton.ca/undergrad/regulations/academicregulationsandrequirementsforpostbaccalaureatediploma/), whereas, Post Graduate Diploma or Post Graduate Certificate is a post graduate qualification meant to prepare student for quick entry into practice and licensing, and can also be used to further study at master's degree level. Sometimes, it is on equal footings with professional or course-based masters. 2. Yes, both qualify for PGWP. 3. While applying for your study permit, you can include your spouse and children (dependants), they may qualify for either work permit, study permit or visit visa. (Source: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1482&top=15). Although the source is quoting for Student Direct Stream, but it applies to regular stream as well. |

Hello Balina, Applying for the caq is quite seemless. You'll patiently need to go through the links on the quebec site. I'll advise you start with the summary page on Concordia's site about applying for the caq. https://www.concordia.ca/students/international/immigration.html Firstly, you will need to create an account after which a checklist of required documents will be sent to you. Secondly, you will upload the required documents and wait for the caq to be processed. Strongly advise you start with the payment of your acceptance fee and the caq immediately. Was it expressly stated that you must send your official transcript before applying for the study permit? You can see the deadline for sending the transcript in your admission letter. Cheers. Good morning sirs/mas My family is planning to submit our passports for stamping to Abuja vfs and I have some questions. - Can we add all the documents in a single envelope or use an envelope for each individual. - How do we fill the first part of page 3 of vfs consent form? Is the receiver in this case DHL? Relationship to applicant?; I give my consent to the Canada Visa Application Centre in (City, Country) to receive/give my documents from/to _____________. Name of Person to submit an application or collect the decision on my behalf: _________________________________________________________________ Relationship to Applicant: - My infant obviously don't have a BVL or biometric slip, we can omit this in the documents to be sent, right? Thank you |
