Omoba95:
Goodday Guys!!
I am the one the Lord has shown mercy on this glorious day

Kindly join me in thanking the King of Kings & Lord of Lords who made today possible despite how I almost lost faith

With Jesus joy, I announce to that I have received my PPR!!!

Second time applicant

God is too faithful to leave us, just trust in him & you won’t regret it.

I join my faith with everyone still expecting & declare we shall all testify of God’s goodness soonest

(Ps: I had the above saved in my notes in faith before even getting PPR)

I also remember posting sometime in May about receiving PPR before the end of the month & nothing happened, little did I know God had other plans

PPR landed June 1st, 2022, however; I didn’t know about it till June 3rd, 2022.

Timeline below

First Application;
Applied Nov 22nd, 2021
Upfront Medicals : April 3rd, 2021
Updated to pass: No idea (didn’t have access to my portal)
Eligibility review: No idea (didn’t have access to my portal)
Breakfast of life lol: March 23,2022

Reason for refusal: ‘I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, based on personal assets and financial assets’

I cried my eyes out & almost lost all hope, called my agent to ask for a way forward and if I should stop attending classes & defer the remaining semesters. The thought of the time, energy & money spent made the tears roll out well

P.s- I had resumed classes online (started January, 2022),it hasn’t been a funny situation especially with the time difference & economy issues but I thank God & I am currently in my second semester in centennial college. It’s a 2years program.

*Back to my timeline gist*
After careful review of my previous application, it was spotted that my Dad’s account(my sponsor) had an explained lump sum of about 13m that entered at once. So we knew where to tackle while waiting for my GCMS notes.

Things I did differently;
Gave a detailed LOE of the lump sum
Printed a new bank statement, this time the opening balance covered the lump sum with more inflow compared to the last statement
I paid my full tuition for the first year
Got a notarized gift of deed of 5m in my personal account
Submitted my first semester Academic transcript
Added a lot of Prayers too (very important)

Second Application:
Submitted April 10, 2022
Eligibility review started: May 11, 2022
PPR: June 1st, 2022

I have also booked for a new Medicals since the previous one has expired to avoid immigration stories/wahala, I was surprised I didn’t get a medical request with my second application.

The feeling has been surreal, patiently waiting for my passport because I don’t even know where to start from, any suggestions will be appreciated.

Congratulations! We undergraduates & March applicants are next to testify o. In Jesus name

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Vahn: 3:52pm On Jun 08, 2022
Please how long does it take to get a response from mpower?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Derick01: 3:53pm On Jun 08, 2022
Please is it a bad idea to apply for Canadian study visa with an admission for a diploma/certificate program from a college even though I already have a bachelor's degree but over 1 year of experience in the field I got the admission in. My problem is it doesn't show study progression but it's what is in line with my work experience.

Pls I need help urgently with this.

WES actually evaluated it as Postgraduate diploma (one year)

So I should not choose masters of professional degree needed for licensing ?

I will appreciate information for anyone that has experienced the same issue.

I chose it as Masters or equivalent when submitting my application so I now worried if it will affect my application.

This is why you are worried. If WES evaluated it as Post Graduate Diploma, you should choose two or more degrees/diploma/certificates. Do not choose Professional degree. You should instead reapply to ICAS, ICES or others for evaluation: Indians do this when they don't get satisfactory result from WES.

You can try ICAS or others, they have assessed people's law school credentials as a professional degree in the past, yours shouldn't be different. WES is just disappointing.

Although it doesn't show academic progression, with convincing explanations and SOP, it can 'fly'; but the best for you is PGD or higher

With good SOP, all these would be addressed.

Thank you.
Do I need to state in her SOP that are 3 brothers are in Canada, and one is expected to be back in December upon completion of his degree

Why apply for a course not related to what you do for a living?.

Going for a PGD after completing a bsc is not a red flag.. somebody here got approved yesterday, she had a bsc and a masters but applied for a PGD.

The idea is to stick to rules which is going for a course that shows career progression.

Why not apply for a post-graduate cert or diploma to make the application stronger since you have completed your degree? What program did you apply for?

It is not actually a PGD, that's the issue. It is a post secondary diploma program that is in line with what I do for a living. My problem is the fact that I already have a BSC (which I could not even use to get a job.
) and it's looking like a step down Academically . I hope you understand me

It's a Community Pharmacy program( I've been working at a pharmacy department for an organization since last year)and the college did not have it in PGD

Hello fam

I am applying to extend my study permit and my child's visitor record.

Do we need a medical examination since it is an extension?
Your answers are appreciated
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by bullstriker: 5:20pm On Jun 08, 2022
Get a reference letter from the bank stating that your sponsor has the sole signatory to the company's account. Also, check the business registration documents; he should be listed as the director or one of the directors.

You don’t need a medical exam to extend your study permit if you have not travelled outside Canada for 6 consecutive months ( to a country that require medical examination). This regulation would apply to your child unless he did not do medical when you applied for the initial visitor visa application.
