Visa Approved today May 27.
Abuja Embassy
F1 & F2.
We just had our registry 3 days ago.
It was sweet.

Please I'd try to get transcript from hubby to post later because he is the F1.

My dear UmmZayd, BunmiBie, I just want to say thank you to you duo specially. Thank you everyone. I am indeed grateful.

Make I calm down wella. I go come back come post transcript.

First of, I want to apologize for taking this long to post our transcript, we just had our traditional wedding and ceremony last Saturday. So it's been quite demanding.
Since we only had our registry which declared us a couple before we went for our interview.

F1 & F2 Visa Approval
May 27
Abuja
Fine white bald man

N.B. : I am the F2(my first attempt), hubby is the F1(his second attempt, first attempt for MSc, second for renewal of visa for continuation of his PhD)

VO: Have you traveled out of the country before?

F1: Yes

VO: What about you?

F2: No?

VO to F1: Where did you go?

F1: He first answered for "when"(apparently didn't hear the VO actually asked for "where"wink
Omaha for my masters studies.

VO: Okay, you had some research work?

F1: Yes, I did and published my thesis as well.

VO: I'm thinking your relationship with her(me), is she your spouse?

F1: Yes, she is my spouse

VO: How long have you been married?

F1: We got married 3 days ago (we just had our registry wedding 3 days ago because he just got back to 9ja less than a week ago)

VO: (nods head, I leaned towards husbandman to ask him if no need to show the Vo our evidence of marriage, he said no)

I see you have enough funding to cover for you and your spouse.

F1: Yes, I do

VO to me: what do you do?

Me: I currently work as a volunteer staff at "my ppa: where I recently completed my NYSC. I am on the project management team whose aim is to organise educational programs for indigenous teenage girls.
( Vo kept nodding head, stopped at "girls", wasn't sure if I should add the number of teenage girls I've been able to influence positively )

And then the VO faced F1, asked about his course of study.

VO to F1: (checked through his i20) I see you already started your program

F1: Yes

VO to F1: What's your research area?

F1: discussed it at length

VO to F2: You will be with him all through the period of his study right?

Me: Yes.

Thats how he held our passports and gave us white paper oo.

It was like movie.

NB: We actually thought we were the first to get to the embassy on Friday, not knowing there's another entrance, which is even the main entrance because most people went in through there.

We lodged at Olympia Hotel so we left few minutes to 6, trekked to the embassy. Our interview was scheduled for 8am.
We wanted to be the first set to be interviewed.

Did screening and all.

We had our registry on Tuesday, went with our registry certificate, printed two of the pictures we had before husbandman(F1) went for his graduate studies(3 years ago). Went with pictures taken at registry.

None was checked, not even marriage certificate.

I just want to say
1. We found God's favour, honestly nothing more matters than this
2. We were only asked from the questions we practised, only additional one was what F1's research work is about.
3. We met with the fine bald American man
4. Read Nairaland back to back, asked questions and practised with people's transcript.
5. Imho, there is no one size fits all(especially with dressing, some were on slippers, I think what matters most is being comfortable in whatever you choose to wear)
6. Do your part, it's not easy to be calm honestly but try to be calm, say your words well
7. No deficit, funding covered for all with excess
8. Husbandman explained himself well
9. I did too for the 1½ question asked me.

Thank you Nairaland. Should anyone have any question feel free to quote me here. Peace!

Your SEVIS fee will be easier paid, having someone in the US. You can't pay it here if you're in Nigeria because western union isn't working here. I help train applicant for interview freely. If you don't mind you can buzz me up on Telegram

Hey People,

I have been wanting to ask this question here in this group.

I got admission into CFNI Dallas to undergo Advances Diploma in "PASTORING"

Fees: $15K

SPONSORING: My Uncle who happens to be the Owner of one of the Biggest Real Estate Company in Lagos with over 10years in Real Estate Development of Houses. I also intend to part sponsor myself.

*The Question*
I applied with the whole family, and the School gave all my 4kids and hubby I20 document.

The Question is, What chances do I have applying with the whole family for a 1year course in USA, Noting the fact that we have travelled together as a family to USA BEFORE

Note ; I intend to explain that I run a real estate company here in Lagos Nigeria with over 7years experience.
Please when did you get the i20?
I applied

Hello guys please, I need your advise on this. I attended an f1 visa yesterday at Lagos and I was denied. How can I get a new appointment day?
I saw previously denied section which leads to no date and a regular which leads to some dates. Since I was previously refused can I pick a regular. I need your advice urgently.

Your admission letter should be included, if you're going for your masters, add your BSc certificate and if PhD add your Masters certificate instead of BSc

Thanks. So I should go ahead to reapply for another emergency?

Hi all

Pls I need to your advice on filling the DS 160, I mean the current employment section.

I completed my MSc. last year and since then I have been writing papers from the thesis, working as freelance quantity surveyor and assisting one of my lecturers with grading, lecture note and marking scheme preparation. In the light of this please how should I fill the DS 160?
