As a rule i never go for conclusive statements like good or bad etc for any equipment perse bec these are machines , they will be as good as the crew that fly them , the tactics that are brought into, the leverage provided by external support elements etc etc and last but not the least lady luck to ride on

Also lack of access to OEM info is there , lack of competitive trials or face offs in controlled environment is there to come to a judgement

Judgement based on performance in war for any weapon imo is not concrete , in another war with another country another crew etc etc a weapon might performance better or worse - realm of probability

If i have to give an opinion on ka52 or any heli i would judge it only on specifics ( qualities which makes it stand out ) which can be safely assumed based on verifiable open source info vis a vis

Eg

Co axial rotors are an advantage, better , safer and faster etc compartively to usual ones , so that can be counted as an advantage

Another is the level of protection , it's comparatively more so definitely a advantage

Ka 52 imo stands out specifically in these 2 factors but than its my (or anyone's) opinion and not scaroscant

Look at this way one could loose lot of equipment men etc and still win the war , i will take it gladly

What matters is the outcome vis a vis the instruments of war not the performance etc of the instruments , they don't matter in the big scheme , just means to an end

On the state-of-the-art equipment onboard the vessel, he said with the technology in these vessels “we can compete anywhere in the world. We have the state of the art, hydrophobic and autographic equipment, state of the art. We have single bill, multi bill, sub bottom profiler, acoustic doubler profiler, sight sound sonar, hybridometer and so many laboratory measuring agents for sonographic analysis and then we have the Conductivity Temperature and Depth (CTD)”.

Whilst the nation waits with bathed breathe for the construction of the second hydrographic vessel to be completed, NNS LANA is set to continue to blaze the trail in Nigeria and even in the region.

On the issues of Attack Helicopters, I think tactics plays a huge role on their overall performance & survivability.

Shot with a MANPAD or a high caliber round, they will all fall from the sky in most cases.The only modern Attack Helicopter that have had more perennial issues that I know of is the Tiger Helicopter.

I believe Australia has completed dumped that helicopter following multiple, multiple issues with that platform.
