Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by phrecy: 12:27am On Jun 13, 2022
thanks so much...pls whats a GIC

Chuksiesmom:
1. Yes. It is possible. It is adviced to use the other spouse as a home tie but looking at the approval rate for family applications, you can give it a try.

2. You can pay your tuition and even get a GIC. Thats a choice you can make

3. Your son will need a visitors visa and your spouse a spousal open work permit ( sowp)

4. Theres no exact amount specified by ircc. What they have on their website is proof of funds for those applying via express entry. You can always use that as a guide. We have had a number of NL family members getting approvals for the entire family. Look at the documents they shared and tailor yours to suit your case.

5. Google is your friend my dear.

It is well.

The secret is to disturb them. Make unpleasant comments on social media especially on Twitter about their service and how they are about to jeopardize your future ambition as there is a deadline for the payment: after unrelenting tries, they'll reach out to you either through phone call or by DM: they must answer.

Amidst "no FX from the CBN," they are still disbursing to some few who can disturb or have a kind of influence.

Alright thank you so much for your reply.

Good evening house and gurus
I hold a HND in Architecture 2008(2.87 CGPA), ND in Architecture 2005(2.65 CGPA), working in architecture and construction related field though in a federal security agency for over 10years.
Please kindly advise on what programs of best fit and colleges for me outside pure architectural courses. And hope I should go for PG certificate or PGD right?
Thank you for your kind suggestions.

Since your Academic background is related to your work experience, apply for a PG.CERT at a College related to Architecture or Construction

Go through the links below , research on the Architecture, Construction Management, Building related Programs there, then go for the one that suites you

Also Check this program

PG Cert in Green Architecture
Algonquin College, ONTARIO

Good luck

You can apply your self
Just take your time to read through this thread from part 1
U can also use an agent, but mind you using an agent won't influence the decision on your application.

Thank you for e information @showyoung. Please do you have tips on writing it or do you have examples of write ups that got approved?
ShowYoung:

SOP is your only way to explain to the VOs your situation as regards many factors such as Home Ties, Financial Status and Personal Assets, Career or Academic Progression, reasons for wanting to study the course among many others.

If it were to be the US visa, for example, you would be called for an interview, but Canada does not do interview: SOP is your only way to convey your message.

She got PPR just this morning? Meaning it’s not up to 2hrs so it’s too early to start looking for solution... she should look for it again, she will see it hopefully. She should relax and not panic then think and try to remember when last she saw and touched it.

Good Morning House.
Can someone please suggest a good pgd program for a first degree in Mass Communication. I have experience in HR (360 from Recruitment to On-boarding to Training and Performance Mgt) I also have experience in Sales and Marketing (Brand Communication and Retail Sales). I also have been a Team Manager in Customer Care for 6 years.
I will really appreciate your response. Although it looks to me like an MBA will be ideal.

You should stick to one job especially the most recent so we can advise you on what to go for because HR, Customer Care Service and Sales/Marketing are not the same.

Whether to go for masters is dependent on your grade in your first degree. If you have 2:1, it may be easy to secure admission into MBA, MSc etc. If you have 2:2, it may be difficult to gain an admission into a masters direct, although it's not impossible: in this case, PGD/PGC/PostBaccDip is your best bet.

Thank you for your response.
The role as a Team Manager includes all these except the sales. So I manage team members and it includes HR responsibilities, Critical Thinking, Ideation and Change Management; it is a role in the Customer Care Division in my company. I have a strong CGPA (4.02, 2:1)

So is it safe to go ahead with an MBA. I wish I had a more specialized field like the rest of you all do.

Good morning guys, please i need suggestions on alternative study destinations to canada that offer clear pathway to permanent residence. I have been waiting for 3 months and 2 weeks for my ppr and my eligibility review has been ongoing for more than a month with medical and biometrics all passed since early April. I have submitted the following documents

My father savings account (opening 14m closing 14.5m)
My mother savings account (opening 4.5m closing 4.7)
My dads work id and pension statement
My dads salary account ( closing 3m)
Ielts 7.5
Bachelor degree from Russia 2019 (left before my visa expired)
Nysc certificate 2020
Unmarried but provided family documents and photo
I have one Siblings and i submitted her work id
Tution deposit 4000CAD
My masters program is completely in line with Bachelor Degree
Currently unemployed since 2021 (wasn't retained after service and didn't bother seeking employment cuz my japa plan)

I believe with these documents i could have easily gotten visa elsewhere. My mental health is severely affected, depression wan kill me and i don dry like person wey get aids. We nigerians are being unfairly treated by IRCC and at this point its risky for me to depend on canada only as my resumption is September after deferring from May which means i would not have enough time to reply incase its a rejection. Also with the election coming and my dad retiring next year its paramount i japa soonest.

You are very qualified and it's safe. But ensure you enroll in a DLI.
