I don't know if the visa has been approved or not, I will go and pick the passport up on Monday, because I don't live in Lagos, but I think if the visa was approved, they would have indicated it or wrote approved

This is to encourage someone waiting to hear from the embassy, do not worry, keep calm you’re next.

After four months, Finally the wait is over. Recalled I got my one year visa in January (we were the first batch that was issued this year wink) before they now changed it to 3 months validity.

In February I applied for my wife and daughter so we could travel together but unfortunately we didn’t hear from the embassy so I traveled alone in March and returned in April, my wife was called for interview March ending, since then nothing, after several emails, they finally got their visas yesterday. smiley smiley

Is it true that if your first child is a citizen, you can give birth to your second in Nigeria and claim Brazilian citizenship for the second?

It’s true to an extent.

You can apply for citizenship but you’d have to take the child to Brazil, apply for permanent residency based on the sibling’s citizenship, then enroll the child in a school (this shows that the child is willing to stay and be a Brazilian)
You can then apply for citizenship for the said child.

This applies to children born before and after the Brazilian child.

I think you can apply once you enroll the child. You can check the Brazilian government website for better details.
