Thanks a lot, @kayceekay.

You can book one way, even on Egypt Air website. I booked one way about 2 weeks ago through wakanow.com Lagos to Toronto and another one way Toronto to Lagos through travelstart

Far too many times, prospective applicants applicants ask me questions relating to this topic.

In this post, I will carefully address the real issues and meaning behind "Recommend Interview". I hope every participant on this platform makes the most of the information below.

Kindly be advised that every immigration applications submitted to IRCC are reviewed by at least two levels of people:

1. *Program Case Analyst:*

Most of the time, it's the Program Case Analyst who does the initial R-10 check that often positions certain applications on "Recommend Interview". They review all information present on file and can only make recommendations as per the applicant's circumstance - i.e, recommended interview (RI), review required (RR), recommended refusal/eligibility failed (EF). The Program Case Analyst may also be able to refuse some ill-equipped applications due to poor documentation.

*Reason for Recommend Interview;*

The eligibility status - "Recommend Interview" is mostly common when the Program Case Analyst has certain concerns about the submission of the applicant for an immigration application to Canada.

This is largely due to some irregularities on the applicant's employment reference letter and inability to verify applicant's work experience, ineligible financial documents to cover for the applicant's proposed program and upkeep in Canada, and in some cases due to salaries being paid by cash at applicant's place of work.

2. *Senior Immigration Officer*

The Senior immigration officer (visa officer) will then review the notes and assessments of the program case analyst and make the final decision, this also includes whether or not an interview is required. If an interview is necessary to continue processing your application, the status would change to "interview required". However, since the inception of the COVID-19 pandemic, IRCC have not been conducting interviews for prospective applicants both for work permit, spousal sponsorship, parents sponsorship and some other PR applications. In view of the foregoing, an immigration officer may disregard a recommended interview and subsequently grant an approval.

My observations;

I have reviewed several GCMS notes as of recent and in the past and I have come to understand that majority of applicant's with "Recommend Interview" as the current eligibility assessment on their GCMS notes are later in the visa process approved by the Senior Immigration Officer.

Although, in a few cases, some applications may be rejected due to the limited knowledge on the applicant's part to address the initial concerns. This also stems from the fact that the format is not clearly spelled out by the immigration authorities.

This is not much of a bother you know, i would recommend you check properly for the pre-assessment notes/comments which can be found on the page 2 or the last two pages of the Gcms notes.

Why do I have this feeling “recommended interview” is when they are about to assess your eligibility ?

Hello

I applied for my study permit on 18th of April
But my admission letter that I submitted has one condition on it I’ve not cleared (my official university certificate)

Hope they won’t say because I’ve not cleared one condition they’ll not approve my visa or they’ll put it on hold.

Cos I graduated recently and my certificate is not yet ready
In other words you applied with a "conditional letter of acceptance". If you don't meet that condition you might end up not passing your eligibity. I think you should contact your school to clear all doubts.
Good luck

Pls I also have a similar question but my condition is I have to apply for a math (calculus) course before April, 2023 but I can only do that if I have been given the visa. Pls what should I do? Although my department has already sent an email in regards that the course will be replaced with one of the math courses.

The fact they want to know is if you truly worked or are working there. Whether it be NYSC or not, the fact is you worked or are working there and got paid or are getting paid.

My advice is separate NYSC work experience from the company work experience.

Must I submits my own bank statement

Urgent response needed, please.

For the family form, I printed it out to sign and uploaded as a scanned PDF file meaning not as the usual editable PDF form I downloaded, will this be an issue? If yes, how do I correct it.

Please note that I submitted my application today and will be going for biometrics soon

Long Post and testimony time!!!!

Been on Nairaland for more than 5yrs - it started with the US birth trend, of which I was denied a visa twice when I wanted to birth to my son in 2018, I took time off from the Japa struggle, and 2020/ 2021 started again on another UK Student Visa trend, after everything I was denied twice again, I cried my eyes out, am like " e bi like say my head no travel out of this country" told God he was not fair to me, after all my struggle, he could not even pity me because of my kids and answer my UK visa plans. I gave up, faced my work, and invested my money in some properties.
I met a friend who encourage me again, and advised I don't give up. i told him I was going to think about it, in my mind am like this one does not know am done with all this wahala.
after a rethink, took a step of faith, got admission and gbam visa process started.
Timeline: submitted March 27th
Upfront Medical: 28th March
Biometrics: April 1
Medical updated to pass: April 21st
then the wait .......
on the 7th of June, was reading through the trend and saw when someone posted mailing the embassy, na so me too summon courage ooo, I mailed and the following day eligibility started.
Behold: MY PRR dropped yesterday 13th June.

my hands were checking to open the mail, and here comes my visa approved.

1st-time applicant, I have never travelled out of the country before, I declared all my refusals, and am 40yrs old. Those that tell you something? DON'T GIVE UP!!!!

Order for GCMS notes. It's basically concerning your POF. You need to do something about it. When GCMS notes come, you'll be able to know the exact cause.

Hi there,

I need help!

I need honest review on this course - Certificate in Business Intelligence and Analytics, University of Calgary Continuing Education. I really cannot tell if it is a PGCERT program but it is more of a professional program recommended for international students who wants to live and work in Canada according to the information on the school website.

The program is 12months with one year PGWP and tuition fee of CAD22,050.00. The core courses align with what the applicant is looking for and it is business related reason considering the program.

The background of the applicant:
- Computer/Electrical Engineering
- Currently working in the finance sector as Credit Risk Officer

What advise do you have for the applicant

Thanks.

BI/BA is a lucrative field but make sure you confirm the program qualified for PGWP. UofC continuing education mainly focus on part-time programs for professionals. You may also want to check 18 months PGD in colleges, mostly in Ontario. You may get it for that 22k. All the best.

Please guys I need your advice , during my nysc I was not posted to a particular company , I was posted to a school but I also worked at the company where I was not posted . I worked with them and was paid but because of the way I got the job , I just have employment letter and a paystub but not a bank statement . Funds for tuition deposit has already been debt and tuition deposit is being paid . They are also my sponsors . But I ended nysc in 2020 but have been working there from the beginning of nysc 2019 till date . Will my nysc contradict my works and is my personal bank statement nessasary if the company is providing me with theirs .

Please I need your help

You are allowed to work more than 2 jobs as a Nigerian citizen. So it should not be a problem that you worked at a school and a company at the same time during your NYSC.
