Hello nairaland,
My name is golden .
Please I wanted to ask ,
We (my parent) presented a closing bank statement of 23m for Canadian study visa for my sister .
Please I wanted to ask if
They could spend from the money ,
Or They need to wait till She gets a visa decision before They can use the money .

Regards.
Hello Golden,
Nobody can categorically tell you they should spend from it or not, maybe that's why you didn't receive any response.

In very few cases, IRCC do ask for updated Statement of Account (SOA), and if the money is no more available at that period, it could impact their final decision. And if they didn't ask for updated LOA, fine.
So, you can make a decision at your discretion.

I tried this and CIBC said the invoice expires in 72hrs.

Did you get this same notification? If yes, then how did you go about it?

Because I’m fully aware that form A payment can’t be done in Nigeria within 3 days.

Hi Jenny, another Lancer here.

You have to use CIBC to generate an invoice and then pay with whichever method you want. This means you could pay with Form A, pay with your USD Card, pay with a domicilary account or even an international account but the CIBC invoice is a must.

Yes, the invoice is only "functional" for 72 working hours, it doesn't really matter. If you are to use Form A, it may take a bit of time but it wouldn't affect anything. It would be the sum stated on the invoice that would be paid. You would just be advised to add a little bit on top due to a possible difference in the rate of the day the payment is disbursed.

For me, the exchange rate of the day was lower than my initial invoice when my fee was disbursed.

Go ahead and generate and invoice regardless of the 72 working hours but don't forget to top it up with about 15-20 CAD just in case. Go with the invoice to Royal Bank of Canada to process it.

Goodluck.

Using CIBC is on the high side, I’m looking for the school account details.

The one that has to do with Royal Bank of Canada

Thanks
You can only make payment to uwindsor via cibc.
You generate an invoice on their website which will include details you will us in applying for Form A.
How is CIBC on the high side lol?
You should be more concerned with your bank processing Form A on time.

Please ignore that 72hours deadline.
Even if it takes 3 months for the money to arrive CIBC will still process it. Just add like 100$ on the amount you're paying incase rate changes.

Hello House.

Please I need help, assistance and answers

1. Please how much is the minimum amount for proof of funds when traveling with Spouse for with a study visa

2. Which would you consider to be far better when the aim is to acquire Post Graduate Work Permit that possible leads to PR ~ One Year PGD or Two Year PGD

3. If the company you currently work for in Nigeria is sponsoring your study Visa, is it mandatory to attach the company bank statement, especially if it’s a Large firm that has Branch in USA and Nigeria, what is the best way to convince the VO that the company is capable of financing their staff study program.

Thanks I look forward to the guru help and explanation.

Hello house,

Can someone help explain gift deed, and what documents should be attached with a gift deed as proof.

Please guru in the house, attend to my questions above and provide assistance please , I appreciate your efforts. Thanks

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Baphil: 7:52am On Jun 15, 2022
First apply for GCMS notes and get the real reason(s) why you were denied. Then change whatever it is : personal assets, career progression etc. and then apply again with a detailed letter of explanation.

I will not advise you to use the same exact LOE, you can add some portion so yes you can use it with edits of course. You can do both SOP and LOE if you want. Just make sure you tackle everything they raised with strong evidence.

Chubbyface:
If one was denied visa and wants to reapply, do u need to write a Letter of explanation(LOE) and Statement of Purpose(SOP) or only LOE is fine? And if u need both, should d person use the previous SOP or do some edits? Asking for someone plz

I'll suggest you get a letter from your company that shows the amount your salary is, and how it's been paid... The 500k that enters your account daily too should be explained with proof, like documents to back it up. If it's a business transactions, receipts, sales invoices etc.

it is wise to leave the amount in the account, but if you must transact with it, it should not be substantial amount.

On rare occasion, IRCC has requested that applicant upload an updated account statement. Hence, the reason to tread with caution

Please gurus in the house help a brother, these issue is eating me up and l need tactical suggestions and directives.
l applied for admission to Canada for masters in business administration with my HND in business administration and management but was rejected then l reapplied for baccalaureate in that same course and school was rejected also then l went for BBA which was finally but my biggest headache is how to convince and push through for visa knowing that l got my waec certificate in 2004 and my HND in 2012 and most importantly l am 35 years.
I work in a school as the assistant administrative officer and the school has accepted to sponsor my studies in Canada so l can come back to add more knowledge and business strategies after studies but the major issue now is how do l coordinate the waec period and HND in order to convince the visa officers. Please,l need ideas and suggestions.what are my chances of pushing through.

Hello, it doesn’t matter if its not paid in the 72 hours. The only thing is the USD sent would now be converted to CAD at the current exchange rate, which may be different from what was earlier quoted

Most applications from Nigeria are processed in Nairobi, Kenya. You can include that. However, are you reaching out to an MP or you are using an agent? Usually applicants just send emails to IRCC offices to get updates even though they rarely respond.

Your best bet is to google it and see some samples, this will tell you what you need to include in the deed. It is just a legal doc showing someone has transferred a item (mostly money) to another person for free use.

Some institutions take a while to respond make decisions on students applications, you can reach out to the schools directly via email or phone to know the status of your application. as for other schools to apply for, you need to provide details about your self ie the course you want to go for, your present qualification, UG,PGC or masters etc so gurus can give you some pointers.
