If I had my way only people with a minimum of WAEC certificate would be allowed to vote.

All these illiterate rural dwellers are the source of our problem. They're the ones who foisted a disaster like Buhari on us and are set to repeat the same madness.

I could use a system of elite suffrage where the enlightened few should be allowed to decide for the hopelessly ignorant majority. Not the other way round.

These rural dwellers have children/relatives who are educated. It is the responsibility of those education children to educate their people back at home on the consequence of selling their votes.

In my voting center, those of us who are youths are not up to seven or ten

Because they cannot see who to vote for.... or more importantly what to vote for.
Because since 1999 they have voted six time for more poverty, more violence and more misery.... so they vote with their feet.
Leaving the few left at the booths to legitimize goverments that are completely useless and Presidents with approval ratings of 30 percent or less.

The trajectory is sure.
A time is coming when the President of Nigeria will be elected by less that 500 people and completely ignored by the remaining 200 million.
Voting is not the ticket to democracy and does not guarantee the dividends.
What or who is on the ballot and how they got there matters.
It is impossible to get a proper government out of a failed system.

I want people on this platform to understand that PDP and APC have paid some youths to go on all social media platform to sabotage what Nigeria youths are planning. The sad part about this, is that they will either be paid to do this for a fee or a prize. I want those engaging in this selfish act to think or ask theirselves if that’s all they are worth. The Evil APC and PDP leaders will not even give their children this role to play for their selfish ambition. They send them to schools abroad and bring them back to rule you( Those working for APC and PDP) Ask your self this question, will your children or you ever have an opportunity to rule this country if your Evil leaders continue to rule? May be you were born a slave, but leave the rest of us that are free to exercise our right and power. Please let’s get our (PVC).

That's if it won't be rigged.

From the numbers of our dear parents there, it shows that the APC government is really a nightmare that has removed sleep from their eyes.
Were they sleeping under Pdp?

Look at our dear parents wanting to make things right by exercising their constitutional rights.

But what do we get? It seems we have been giving few options of evil again!

Given?
Nobody hold you from participating

A litter of corrupt men coming again to contest, recycling promises made centuries ago, and dragging the seat of the presidency as a personal inheritance while others who are well-registered theives in black and white, and pretentious thieves parading as mini Jesus.

We don't know who will be president but we are sure human government has failed.

Sadly, all we do in Nigeria is choose a lesser evil.

If that is going to change you would have seen it in this Ekiti election.

I went for my PVC registration, no single youth at the inec centre I went to. The 2023 is till going to be like the previous ones. Not up to 10% of youth below 30 years have PVC. They are busy doing yahooism, ritualism, oloshoism etc. The ones not doing the aforementioned are busy on the internet posting pictures and videos on internet. The problem we have in the country are the youth. Do not be surprised that these adults you saw in this post know the country more than most youth.

Not likely.... I have seen youths lock up their businesses to go and spend hours in Inec offices to get registered

Anybody using any election as a reference to the coming presidential election is a king a big mistake.. The buzz is not around any other election but the presidential election

Youths will decide the outcome of the presidential election.. It is End Sar rebranded that is going to happen across Nigeria

Are you proposing a government of the few?.

More like suffrage of the (relative) few... Same minimum qualification required to contest elections should be applied in the right to vote.

Because they didn’t go to school now give you the right to Dis-enfranchise them, if are you a leader what kind of leader will you be?

No right is absolute. Not even the right to life itself, let alone the 'right' to vote.

If you're not permitted to drive unless you are licensed, then you can be deprived the right to vote unless you have a minimum level of education. It's in your best interest because electing people to govern over the affairs of society is too important an activity to be left to bumpkins and dirt poor illiterates who are incapable of making informed decisions.

That is why I strongly believe that Democracy is not for underdeveloped Countries… Democracy is a scam in the third world Countries…. The illiterates are far more than the educated. Especially in the North, they will continue to keep their people uneducated so as to use them as a political tool!

How is "minimum education" becomes a yardstick for making an "informed decision" when it comes to picking the right person to represent you in government?

Does that mean if you don't go to school at all, you can not pick the "right" person to represent you personally in the government?

Education has nothing to do with choosing the "right" person to represent you to make decisions on your behalf.

No elective position in Nigeria (or democracy) requires a particular discipline. You just need to have the ability to speak the lingua franca, read and write.
