Another heritage of Buhari. E no go better for anybody who give power to the useless janjarweed party again.

How can students who have been staying at home for months due to the strike by lecturers that the APC cannot resolve be encouraging same mediocre party to remain in office?

Their brains must be paining them.

The name of the governor in Rivers state is Wike, not Buhari.
The hospital is owned by PDP government, not APC government.
The power sector is now owned privately, no longer owned by the FG. And it was sold at give away prices by Jonathan and PDP to their cronies.
So, what is your basis for attacking Buhari and APC?

It's Buhari the Chief Medical Director of the corrupt UPTH or is he in charge of the activities there? This is a federal teaching hospital but more expensive than many private hospitals. Consultation and other fees are more than ₦3000 and even if you are to go there next day for a follow up, you still pay the same fees. Is this not corruption and wickedness? Federal and state teaching hospitals that I know in the North don't charge for a follow up case. Why are UPTH as well as BMH now RSUTH different?
ArmaniUhuru:
It’s a federal university teaching hospital, and the federal government cannot provide 24 hours power supply in Neonatal and other ICU departments? What about provision of solar power? What about UPS that could sustain those infants until power is restored?

E no go better for buhari and the APC.

UNIPORT is a federal University and not state-owned. How is a Federal University owned by a political party.
Don't start it please. State Governors don't manage Federal Institutions. Kindly disappear and crawl back to where you came out from.

It is not the blame needs to go round. Everybody deserves the blame even the doctors working there. Government is not exclusive to only a section even you yourself is part of the government. We dey see state wey dey donate heavy generators to teaching hospitals some dey donate ambulance and others. Watin Wike don do? If it's a recurrent situation can't the state government intervene? If you see your neighborhood fence dey bend and it's next to your house won't you help to repair?
Abeg make we dey blame everybody

It is the solely the duty of the federal government to take care of federal institutions in the state. The state government can on its own help.
Let me ask you this question what will be your reaction if Wike goes to the said hospital and begins take its proceed? Won't the federal government sue him?

UPTH is owned by the Federal government, so it is their fault. (Rivers state has its own teaching hospital)

Plus, the power sector is not doing well in part because government polices force it to sell power below what it costs to produce the same power. So no profits to make things better.

Finally, federal government has not diversified the economy, despite saying so seven years ago when they were looking for your vote. Instead...oil and loans have what they have kept us on.

So, APC's fault.

Let me say this here again.

For us to het this power thing right Nigeria has to abandon the old National grid and run a decentralized power transmission system.

What I mean by this is Power generation plants and its transmission lines should be run by States or by Regions or political zones. We have South South, South East, South West, North East, North west, North Central.
A decentralized Generation and transmission will definitely be the solution to our power problems I tell you for free.

The existing national grid is old and weak hence can not even handle much mega watt in transmission even if we keep building new plants.

The truth is there's actually no proceed to take from a teaching hospital. If he's ready to run the place then he should go for it in fact that's what we all are advocating true federalism and restructuring. You think say government hospitals run at a profit? Baba there's nothing Wike can gain if he decide to run the place except he won increase health fees.

So painfully, same happened to my sis, lost her twin due to power outage n hospital carelessness, how can u be expecting premature babies, and she labored a whole day and half, and all this time u didnt put ur incubators in order, worst still, while she was in labor, ur sense didn't tell u since there was power outage to put on d gen.
d babies came, stayed 30 minutes plus, u ppl kept moving dem from one room 2 d other, till dey left this world. Our health system truly needs help.

Sir I respect your take on matters. So I'll like you to highlight how the FG has not diversify the economy or what you expect them to do in this regard taking into account our deficit infrastructure on small igr. I whole believe economic prosperity lies mostly with private institutions and individuals but I will like to learn more.

Well when our budget is based on the price of oil, and our tax to gdp ratio is still below 10% , it tells me we havent diversified yet.

And yes you are right. Diversification depends on people a lot

Baba even in federal hospitals teaching hospital its not happening. That's why I asked why UPTH case is an exception because their seems to be a gross corruption happening within the leadership of UPTH. Are they the only teaching hospital we have in Nigeria? You hear this kind news from other teaching hospitals? Even comment from social media shows that it's a recurrent issue and it's not just happening. In the teaching hospital where I schooled here theres FG allocation for generators fuel and maintenance(about millions per month). They also have those big generators that powers different sections of the hospitals, they also have small generator that powers critical wards incase those big generators develop fault. Also NEPA supply to teaching hospitals are not like regular light supply I think specifically some institutions receives better light supply though not constant. Now the question is are those provisions available in UPTH? If yes why didn't they run them?
You see why I say we first of all have to tackle the hospital management before we face the larger government. Government is inclusive and we should demand accountability from those around us make we sabi and we fit easily tackle first.

The grid we have in place at the moment can not transmit 10000 Megawatt it will collapse immediately.

Do you know that for years now some plants which are capable of generating are asked not to come on some times because what they generate can not be synched to the National grid at that time.

Regional or state power generation and transmission is the answer.

Leave the federal government out of this . What does the hospital do with it's infernally generated revenue? The same hospital that owed interns over eight months salary and during the covid era this same hospital under a thieving management stole 959 million naira that was given to it to establish a molecular lab and isolation centre.
