I need ways on how to stop it, if any one of you have experienced this and was able to stop it then kindly share the tips you used! Thank you, I await your responses.

Buy a pacifier if worried. Left to me I’ll leave the child alone. I personally sucked till ten years old and stopped when I saw none of my peers were into the habit. When I entered university I saw people who never stopped, they were only discreet about it.

Please don't take the advice of letting her be to stop on her own. I know 2 people personally who still suck; one is in his 50s while one is about 40. Not all kids stop on their own.

It is not only things that reduce the quality of life that should be discouraged. Is quality of life the only parameter to let a child keep sucking till adulthood?

She may or may not stop eventually, because it's a subconscious thing. I was sucking my lower lip until my junior secondary years and I could never control it. I didn't even realize it anytime I did so, unless someone alerted me to it.

It stopped when I was close to entering senior secondary and I don't know how. It's not her fault sha.

Leave the child to suck her lips in peace. It has no effect on her growing up. She will definitely overcome it

You want an adult to keep sucking as long as it doesn't affect "quality of life". Why not try sucking your thumb while your boss is talking to you or while you are attending to your clients.

Keep trying to stop her, though unless it runs in your family, if not keep trying and don't give her any goodies if she sucks

Make her to promise you that she will stop it and help her by watching her
