Tony Payne is underperforming

Just say Tony Payne is a broiler so we will understand..

Which one is she is underperforming? She has played as a RW and LB in the two games so far and has performed well.. 8/10 rating for me...

zuchyblink:
Tony Payne is underperforming

Toni Payne had a good game vs SA playing as a RW. She faded a bit as the second half wore on but she ended up with a good solid showing overall. Verdict: Good game.

Toni Payne now played LB vs Botswana. A position not new to her in the GWG as that was where she also played vs Canada earlier this year. A mix of LB/LWB depending which shape we took in phases of 352 and 532.

Toni yesterday was excellent. An 9/10 for me. Brilliant on the overlap. Underlapped pretty good and bagged an assist from a sweet cornerkick cross. Almost all her deliveries were on point yesterday.

Like I have said and analysed on the Super Falcons thread, Toni Payne is yet to have a bad game in the GWG. Trust me, I know this coz since her debut she just haven't dropped below a 7/10 showing.

The most versatile player of the Super Falcons. Solid at LB. But her future with this team lies further up the pitch in my analytical and tactical opinion.

In the long run, I expect Patricia George to return and own the LB role.

I long to see what a Fullback combo of Alozie (RB) and George (LB) will be like. It makes me salivate.

Anyway, back to the whole point. Toni Payne is no underperformer in the Super Falcons.

AM, CM, LB, RW, LW.... roles she has executed in the GWG and she is yet to drop a stinker. Payne is one of the most consistent performers in the present Super Falcons if not the most consistent outrightly.

Show more respect for the highly talented Ms. Versatile.

Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.

The Red Devils are looking for attacking reinforcements following the departure of the likes of Edison Cavani, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata.

Talismanic hitman Cristiano Ronaldo has also allegedly told the club he wants to leave the summer.

Osimhen has also been linked with a move away from Napoli following his goal scoring exploits.

The Nigeria international found the back of the net on 18 occasions in 38 games for Lille, in addition to registering six assists, before arriving at Napoli in September 2020.

Osimhen has netted 28 goals and registered nine assists in 62 outings for his Italian side, and a number of clubs have been linked with his services this summer.

Scottish Premiership giants Glasgow Rangers continue to run the rule over Nigerian-born dazzler Thompson Ishaka, with a view to signing him in the summer transfer window.

Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that the Light Blues have maintained a long-term interest in the hugely talented teenage winger.

Rangers invited Ishaka to train with their B team earlier in the year and he also featured for the side when they faced Nottingham Forest development squad in a friendly staged in England two months ago.

The attack-minded player has been reinvited to take part in Rangers B pre-season preparations after which a decision will be made on whether to pursue a deal.

David McCallum, head coach of Rangers B, would have been impressed with his imperious display during Wednesday's 4-0 rout of Elgin City in Brian Cameron's testimonial match.

Ishaka was playing locally for Enugu based Riverlane Football Academy, before moving to England to attend Brooke House College.

A left-footed winger who is capable of playing on either flank and as a centre forward, he has been likened to Villarreal's Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze due to his playing style.

Premier League side Leicester City were interested in signing Ishaka after impressing during trials but the move has stalled over a work permit obstacle.

Ishaka was the star of the show as Brooke House College won the England Schools Football Association U18 title in May, scoring a brace in a 3-1 victory over London Nautical College.

I agree with you my brother. The only thing be say the accusers of the brethren will come now and say Keshi na Egunje apostle. But Westerhoff achieved the most, no caps. From not qualifying for the 1990 WC to qualifying for the next one, won a silver at his first afcon algiers 90. A little bit of story on the Algiers 90, our so called Europe based professionals declined to honor the invitation for the nations cup. The likes of Keshi, Nwanu, Owobokiri, Siasia, Eguavoen, Osondu, Okosieme, Dahiru Sadi, Iorfa, Sofoluwe etc. Keshi scouted Nigeria, went to watch the challenge cup and selected mostly home based players some fresh blood like Ukechukwu, Amokachi, Kpakor, Elastic Elahor, Ben Iroha, Alloy Agu etc. He had just a few experienced internationals in Yekini, Adesina (later got benched) and Ogunlana. We were humiliated in our first game 5-1 by Algeria. Westerlolo wasn't deterred, that same team made it to the finals. After 90 afcon, the only direction was up for the team. Baba did business as an agent and got a lot if our players into Europe and the rest is history. He really had an eye for talents, amokachi, Ukechukwu, Iroha, finidi, amuneke (into the SE), Adepoju (into the SE), Oliseh (into the SE) and some whose village people affected them like Kpakor, dotun alatise, ajibade babalade, dimeji lawal. You have to give it to the dutchgerian.
