Chocolate chip cookie recipe

Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt salt
1 sticks (12 tablespoons) softened unsalted butter
1.5 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips


Directions

preheat to 350 degrees F.

Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

Whisk together the flour, baking soda and 1 teaspoon salt in a large bowl.

Beat the butter and sugar on medium-high speed in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment (or in a large bowl if you’re using a hand mixer). Beat until light and fluff.

Add the eggs, one egg at time, while continuously beating after each addition to mix well.
Add in the vanilla and mix well.
Reduce the speed to medium, add the flour mixture and mix lightly.
Add in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

Scoop the cookie dough about 2 inches apart onto each of your prepared baking sheets. If you care for a round shape, roll the dough into smooth balls with slightly oiled hands. Otherwise just bake it without rolling. That will give you my amoeba shape cookies


Bake until golden but still soft in the center, about 10-13 minutes for chewy cookies and 15-20 minutes for crunchier cookies.

Let cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet, and then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely. Enjoy.
