I don’t know why people are mentioning Tielemans and Neves, they are not similar to De jong in the role ETH wants to use him. Kovacic, Erisksen etc are more suitable. But we know Eriksen can’t play 10 games consecutively and he has probably failed his medical sef

The only person I can think of perfect for the role is Verrati but he’s never going to come. Who then are the likely options?

Skill wise Veratti is like the best option we can get for that role. It’s just his age and the fact that he plays for PSG. And going by his injury records in the last two years, he doesn’t look like a good buy, especially for a team that is still finding its way.

The fact that the academy players were more fluid with the triangles training ETH introduced while the senior players struggled with it should tell you something.
