How Ajibade didn't make the Final 10 nominees for the CAF WPOTY will have to be explained by CAF later on.

Where's mostob that wants Ajibade to play midfield and not LW or RW.

Onumonu should be taking the corner kicks and maybe free kicks that was a good cross..

TheSuperNerd:
Ucheibe and Ayinde are the perfect fit for that midfield. They have been really good as I expected they would be when played together.

7 attempts towards goal in the first half but none on target. The moment we direct our attempts on target, I trust we would see a goal or two.

The Camerounians have been on the defensive all half depending on long balls to launch quick counters.

Ajibade and Ordega needs to play much closer to Onumonu off the ball so as to keep up with our attacking phases and get the goals we need.
I said it oooo.... Analysis on point. grin

Toni Payne. What a babe. What an amazon.

First half - Played RB

Second half - Playing LB (with Alozie coming in and Ashley stepping out)

Has also played RW and LW at this tournament.

What can she not do? A Baller. Ms. Versatile

It doesn't change the fact that you said SF will beat Cameroon easily.. grin grin
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 7:28pm On Jul 14, 2022
Highly cerebral. Can use both feet. Intelligent in transition. Ashley is a babe of substance and she has done well so far at this tournament in only 2 games.

Her only bleep was vs Noxolo Cesane.

That wasn't a bleep. That was the intelligence of the South African player.

The S.A player made a quick turn and pass the ball quickly.

That goal was due to quick passing of S.A. and not holding on to ball for long and the failure of the Nigerian midfielders to track back and help the defenders.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 7:37pm On Jul 14, 2022
Perspectives. But point remains she is a brilliant player.

Chiamaka Nnadozie showing her razor sharp alertness to intercept that ball to Abam. Hit in the process but she should be okay.

Africa's #1. cool

See Onumonu
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 7:43pm On Jul 14, 2022
Ifeoma Onumonu should have buried that. Perfectly weighted ball into her path. A close call for offside as well in my books but still.... sad

On a flip side, Loves the way Onumonu exploits the gaps between 2 of the Cam CBs.

She found same space in the first half when Ucheibe set her on the run after good work in midfield.
