Please can someone explain to me how expedited appointment is scheduled. My question is if approved, does the consulate/embassy randomly assigns you a date or you are given a set of dates to choose from? Thanks.

Generally, when granted EA, you will be able to access date portals with closer dates. So, for instance, if you log in now, you will see 2023 dates, with an EA, you will see 2022 dates and if you are lucky, actually get an interview date before your resumption.

Good day all, please I have some questions, I got an interview date for August 26th and my school resumes August 22nd. Would my school agree to give me an extension of a month or do I just defer to spring semester?

You can search on Google "fully funded MS in Biology in US."

I did a small search and discovered that Loyola University, Chicago has a fully funded MS in Biology.

Check their requirements. Get your documents (SoP, CV, transcript, etc) ready. Write GRE or TOEFL if it's required. Or apply for waiver.

You can go through their faculty page and email the professor you will like to work with.

You can research and get like three to four schools that has Biology or molecular biology fully funded MS program. Apply to all of them.

With these in place, you will get admission for 2023.

Thanks a lot

Below is my transcript. I was denied yesterday and it was a really bad experience...

Visa interview transcript

15th July 2022
Abuja
(school is located in Missouri)
Bsc/BTech Computer science
Scholarship: 15k (covers 52% tuition)
Deficit: 34k (plus total COA)
Visa Den**d
White lady with blonde hair

She approved the first 3 people who did their interview today. This was when i was still scanning my passport.
The first to be interviewed was Phyno (musician) he didn't queue with us and i don't know how he got into the embassy. We was going for a show and was approved. The next was a lady going for F2, the husband is already in the US. The third person was my friend going for Master's and he was approved.

Now to the interview proper.
VO; hello let's start with your biometrics
(We did)
VO; I see you're going to The University of Missouri
ME; I'm going to Missouri University of Science and technology located in Rolla Missouri for my bachelor's degree in computer science
VO; when did you finish high school
ME; 2017
VO; What have you been doing since your high school
ME; after my highschool i registered for programming classes where i learnt java and phyton after... (she cut)

He has a workforce of 81 staffs of which 60 are permanent and 21 are on contract and he has an annual income of 180m. He also has landed properties and commercial buildings in Akure and in Benin city. He... (she cuts)
VO; What will you be doing after your study
Me; I'll be coming back home for my mandatory NYSC after which I'll be working as a software support analyst, that is also my long term goal.
VO; I'm sorry you're not qualified for visa now do apply again
ME; Why
VO; take this paper it will explain why bla bla bla.
(She was smiling and i told her thank you and left)

She Denied a girl before me. She's currently in her NYSC and is going for Master's, she asked her "why didn't you complete your NYSC".
One man (retired) going to see a friend was placed on administrative processing. He's been in the US before sha.

Note** I have an associate degree but i couldn't say that before the cut and i currently work too.

I doubt if she checked my ds160 at all

The lady approved lots of F1 (Master's) before i left.

We move and try again.

Hello everyone,

Please, I need your insight/advice on this situation.

Last yèar, during my F1 visa interview, the VO asked me if I will be going with my wife, I told him NO, as my wife was schooling and doing her business. Hence, çannot abandon her sch to join me. Now, she is almost rounding up.

She went for her F2 visa few days ago, and was told that her husband said, she won't be joining him, what has changed? And she gave an entirely off point answer, as she did not anticipate the question and I mistakenly did not prep her to that point. She was telling the VO that her husband cannot visit at this time, cos of his demanding research work bla bla bla

Now, we are about to reapply. Will stating that she has completed her program be appealing to them? Since, had already given an out of point answer initially.

Please, what do you think is the best way to go about this? Cos, I know that, that same question will arise again.

Thank you very much.

Hello all,

Please what is the best advice to give someone whose profile is below:

Age: 30+
Female
BSc grade: Pass

She wants to know if she can get an admission in the US, either BSc or MSc.
I was going to tell her the chances are really low or non-existent but then I feel I could get more insights form people here.
Are there schools that can offer her admission?
Thanks.

I have a BSc (3.11/5.00) and MSc (3.93/5.00) in environmental related course. Already have students transcript (Both BSc and Masters), and I just applied for passport.

What are my chances/tips of getting a fully funded scholarship for a PhD in Canada or US with my average grades?

To japa is my only chance. Naija don too stress me.

I got a 15k scholarship which covers 52% of my tuition and my uncle will be covering my deficit he also happens to be my guardian... (she cuts) First 15k is not 52% of the school fees I feel like you saying that had sent the wrong notion. you have a deficit of 34k and 52% of your school fees is 15k?

Also, I think this answer was a problem: "after high school, I registered for programming classes where I learned java and phyton after... (she cut). After high school, I think they know we write jamb and would love to go to the university. Saying something like I applied for the entrance exam to universities here in Nigeria but I did not get admission then I went on to register for a professional degree in Programming. maybe something of some sort will seem realistic just maybe.. what do I know

I think your chances are good. I’m not sure if doing Wes evaluation will increase your cgpa but you should look into it. I will also recommend writing GRE and TOEFL. Your sop should also be well written. You should clearly articulate your research plans. Be specific too.

Don't go with the mindset that they rarely deny doctors visa. It will make you lackadaisical and nonchalant towards preparation for your interview.

Just prepare accordingly. And pray you are attended to by a VO who believes your story.

Your chances are 100% dependent on you!. Even with only a BSc others have gotten full funded PhDs.
Read past threads there were some extensive tips and notches on how to go about what you're asking.

Btw, your last sentence is suspicious. I'll advice you begin this journey as someone who genuinely wants to study and not just needs an F1 visa to "Japa" cry

If the tuition fees is around 29k plus, then 15k is 52% of the tuition. Other fees and expenses account for the 14k plus. Making the COA 34k. Mine is similar to this
