I am of the opinion that Blackbeard has also been searching for the Gomu Fruit as well as gravity fruit but switched his attention to the other one when he learnt that the Gomu fruit has been taken... Reason for his duel with Shanks.
These two fruits were identical.

Question is who was the previous user of the Gomu fruit after the Legendary Joy Boy?

At least the previous user of the Barrier fruit was member of the Kurozumi, the previous user of the flame fruit was Ace, the previous user of Gura fruit was Whitebeard, the previous user of the heart �� fruit was known by Doxiote Doflamingo.... The lists goes on

Rogers crew is the best there is and I don't think any other crew can surpassed them.
Blackbeard duel with shanks has nothing to do with the gomu fruit cos luffy already had it. I guess it had to do with Ace when BB gave him to the marine.

No and BB was a nobody then. It was when BB killed a crew member and stole the devil fruit and ran away that he had an encounter with shanks.

Oh then I had a friend in SA, so she helped me set it up. In the end, I never really used it. It's not an efficient system, so I just use crypto for stuff.
