Okay,Thanks.
Allegory:

To avoid avoidable ADRs, why don’t you do gift deed, a page of bank statement then Fixed deposit certificate. That’s what I did. Nothing to lose.

If you’ve already submitted, it’s no big deal too, at worst they’ll just ask for additional documents.

Hello please I need help. OINP says that their processing time is between 70-100 days.
I have submitted my profile since the 6th of April and it’s been up to a 100 days already, yet my application status still reads submitted.
They haven’t even started processing my application. Is this normal please, esp when they are certain that it only takes about 100 days to complete yet, they haven’t started.

Software engineering role. Most interviews and assessment are done remotely these days. Kindly try and try I believe you'll get one. I have heard of two people who got employed into finance roles at HSBC and TD before landing in canada. Luckily the COPRs are now valid for a longer period of time hence giving candidates more time to plan their movement

On the other hand If you were earning in naira before your decision to move to canada you'll find that the exchange rate is very bad now (naira to usd or cad). Thus without an immediate source of income in canada you'll be spending your savings and the movement to canada will seem more like restarting life. I wanted a sort of continuity and not a restart hence I did not sell a single item or asset of mine rather I simply applied for PTA and travelled down to toronto. Started earning in less than a month.

Thank you for this detailed response. I wish you the best over there.

I’m also into data science, hopefully I try that route too

From your timeline, it seems you got ITA just a day after you entered the pool (WES Evaluation), right?

Lol. Some of the messages you will receive will get you more confused than actually clarifying the status of your passport.

Allegory:

I got this message too, seems the person was drunk typing. They sent it to a lot of people that day but it was probably a mistake. They later sent me a clearer one the next day which basically said/meant the passport is with IRCC Ghana. Track yours on the VFS site, that’ll tell you where it really is

The answer is right in front of you. The first one is the official ircc website but you chose to give more weight to the unofficial quora source. You cannot have two profiles at the same time. But you can have yours while your partner has his/her own as well.

**SINP Folks**

The criteria for SINP International Skilled Worker: Saskatchewan Express Entry are on their website (extract below):

https://www.saskatchewan.ca/residents/moving-to-saskatchewan/live-in-saskatchewan/by-immigrating/saskatchewan-immigrant-nominee-program/browse-sinp-programs/applicants-international-skilled-workers/international-skilled-worker-saskatchewan-express-entry

Job matching education is not negotiable for SINP. The education/degree that is required for each NOC is listed on the NOC employment requirements and this is what SINP needs you to show you have as a degree/education. For example 1221 is: a university degree or college diploma in business or public administration may be required. This is not required for FSW and some other PNPs but SINP requires it.

*Have a valid Express Entry Profile Number and Job Seeker Code.
*Score a minimum of 60 points on the SINP point assessment grid.
*Have a language test result that meets the Federal Express Entry language requirements.
*Have completed post-secondary school or training that is comparable to at least one year of Canadian education.
*You must have earned a diploma, certificate or degree related to your intended occupation. To find out if your education is related to your intended occupation you can review the "Employment Requirements" section of your National Occupation Code profile.
*Have experience in a job that is not on the Excluded Occupation List.
*Your above work experience must be in the field of your completed post-secondary education or training.
*Your work experience must be related to your job and education.

Do you think MBA is a job match for someone with NOC 1221? That's for someone that has a degree certificate in Microbiology (which was not evaluated) but has an MBA (statement - 2020)

First convert your IELTS scores to CLB - read this post. https://www.nairaland.com/6829885/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled#107239683

You must have earned a diploma, certificate or degree related to your intended occupation. To find out if your education is related to your intended occupation you can review the "Employment Requirements" section of your National Occupation Code profile.

Employment requirements of NOC 1221 are below.

I personally think an MBA Masters in Business Admin should pass since they say a degree in business administration or public administration......but I think you need to have an ECA for the MBA.

Maybe join an SINP group and ask if anyone has used MBA to match 1221 or search here on NL.

Note 1: PPR stories are great for gist but more for lessons from the experiences of others. Many questions I had were answered by referring to PPR posts. Thanks to everyone who takes time to document their journey.

IELTS & ECA

I could have re-done the IELTS for extra points (7.5 in Writing)…..but I thought who 3 points epp. Note 2: I know now, that every point counts and that I could have requested for an IELTS remark even if I couldn't rewrite.  For ECA, I used the not so popular University of Toronto-CES; evaluated BSc and MSc…… Note 3: I only needed to evaluate the MSC for FSW purposes.

Long TEF Journey

I registered for TEF July 2018. I was not a French beginner and thought I could easily get the mega points with residual knowledge (my enemies just dey look me, dey laff).  Note 4: Face each exam after studying seriously. Consider learning French for the bonus CRS points and the PNP doors that it opens for you. Those results only added 7 points to my CRS, but I needed CLB7 in all 4 competences to get the 30 bonus points then (now 50 bonus points effective October 2020).

Let me hail my 2018/2019 TEF people……those guys ehn…come and see moral support, knowledge sharing, links, tips etc. In general, NL FSW threads are a gold mine, just use keywords to search and narrow down to TraveI and voila! To those past and present that coach peeps for IELTS, respond to questions, give Uni contacts for ECA, cross check NOC…una weh done!  Note 5: Always good to read up on your own despite responses gotten here. Nothing beats research, it will save you time, money and heartache. READ, READ and continue READING.

I did several TEF exams between 2018 and 2019! Writing (Expression Ecrite), aka “the humbler of men and disgracer of scholars” did me strong thing. I felt like giving up but had to give myself one dose of brain and two tablespoons of sense. I regretted not knowing about and starting this journey earlier and not taking the exams more seriously. Note 6: Don’t cry over spilt milk, what is past is past. No use focusing on what you could have, should have or would have done. Just do what you know to be the best NOW and move on!

I looked at the CRS grid upandan, inside-outside…..no other way to increase the CRS significantly. I just gata face and conquer this French. I was posting essays for the NL TEF crew to correct and they came through for me big time, especially DanMisla, Fabguen, Njbybrthnly and Etrange. When you guys call 1 person for help, many more will answer…you are the real MVPs!!! I cannot complete any TEF gist without giving accolades to Ayandee - new baby, job and family did not stop her from acing it first time round. Na woman you be!

Oct 2019 results were released in Nov 2019 LRWS CLB 9, 9, 8, 7. Got ITA in the last draw of Nov 2019 (draw CRS 471, my CRS 472). I do not take attempting and (finally) passing the TEF for granted, I'm grateful to God my helper.

AOR

PCC: Alagbon had no record of my sins dem. Did PCC for a second country. It was NOT an upfront eAPR requirement but according to IRCC website, a VO could (based on discretion) ask for it later. Na me sabi my waka, so I went ahead and gave them upfront (as the efiko wey I be).

Education: IELTS, TEF, degree certificates and ECAs submitted in the Education placeholder. Some people say you don't need to submit the actual IELTS and ECA document only the ref number is sufficient. Pls just submit them o....see page 1 post 5 for what the Immigration Act requires - paragraph R75(2) (d) and (e)

Personal History: Included professional body membership, volunteer positions, everything I could remember (make them no go confuse me with persin wey Interpol dey find).

LOE: I had made an error in a previous Canadian TRV application….noticed this after reading a NL rejection story about inconsistent info between EE and TRV applications; wrote an LOE to clarify. Note 7: Put yourself in a VO’s shoes and explain whatever you think needs explaining via LOE.

ADRs: ADR I came in Feb 2020 for renewed passports. ADR II in Nov 2021 for Schedule A. Got ADR III for PCC in Mar 2022. Submitted all via placeholder and webform.

GCMS: According to GCMS notes ordered in Dec 2020 and received in Feb 2021 our app was approved since Mar 2020. Sometimes my mind go just waka....especially when 2022 started with PPR everywhere. I went through many emotions but in the end decided to live each day with gratitude telling myself God's time is the best. Note 8: The wait can be very frustrating but try as much as possible to take it in your stride and use the time in waiting wisely.

Started researching Mandamus after ADR III (search Google and Canada.visa "Mandamus IRCC Canada" ). Note 9: If your application has exceeded IRCC published timelines then Mandamus may be the way to go. PPR arrived 5 weeks after filing. Was it the Mandamus or would they have finalised on their own? I cannot say for sure but I thank God for His mercies in bringing me to this stage. See a judicial case https://decisions.fct-cf.gc.ca/fc-cf/decisions/en/item/521035/index.do of a man whose app was pending for 3 years and the court granted the writ of Mandamus.

An adage says a farmer does his utmost but only the Creator knows how yam tubers are actually formed. My people, put in your very best and then rest, no use high BP wound yourself. Note 10: Trust in the Lord with all your heart. In everything you do, ask for His help, and He will show you the right way....paraphrasing Proverbs.

During and because of this journey, I had the opportunity to meet and interact with some wonderful people. I'm grateful for them. Thank you to everyone who said a prayer or wished me well. I pray that those at different stages move on to the next. May the coming months visit many with ITA and PPR, success in IELTS and TCF/TEF, POF provision, ECA completion, softening of the hearts of spouses that were not cooperating and smooth landing and settlement for post PPR and COPR gang.

As for me, it's praises, singing and dancing galore…..it will be so for YOU too.

Blessings!
